Session 3 focused on ‘Corrosion Resistant Composites And Additive Manufacturing For Naval Survivability’ & was chaired by Rear Adm Sanjay Adhana (Asst Chief of Materiel, Modernisation, Naval HQ). Sh Gopi G (Sc F, DRDL, DRDO) discussed the 'Qualifications Challenges & Certification considerations for Additively Manufactured components in Aerospace applications'. 'Additive Manufacturing for Naval Aviation' was discussed by Cdr SS Ghatage (Dte of Air Projects and Plans, Naval HQ).

Session 2 was on ‘Lightweight Strength and High-Temperature Performance For Next-Gen Aerospace Platforms’ & was chaired by AVM PS Gangopadhyay (Asst Chief of Air Staff, Engineering B, Air HQ). Dr Rayudu (TD Materials Technology, Aeronautical Development Authority) spoke about reducing import dependency for future aerospace projects. Relevance of Lifecycle Support and Indigenisation was highlighted by Wg Cdr JK Sahoo (SPE Indigenisation, 12 BRD). Recent trends in Nanomaterials in defence sector were discussed by Dr Sanjeet Kumar (Sc D, ATVP, DRDO) & Dr Raghvendra Kumar Mishra (PhD-Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, UKRI) focused on Nanomaterials for Stealth and counter-stealth defence technologies. Sanjeev Kumar (Sr Sales Manager, Adroitec Information Systems) focused on how additive manufacturing can enable the future of defense & aerospace. Lokesh Joshi (Founder, GroKalp H2CNT) presented on advanced materials for aerial platforms, land systems and wearables. Balpreet Singh (Ernst & Young) gave an industry perspective on advanced materials & additive manufacturing.

🔔 📢 On 25 Mar 26, an MoU was signed between #CAPSS and the Indonesian think tank, #PSAPI (Indonesian Air Power Studies Centre). PSAPI is chaired by the former Chief of Staff of the #IndonesianAirForce, Air Chief Marshal Chappy Hakim (Retd) and focuses on fostering awareness of air power, aerospace, and strategic issues through studies and public discourse.
