Thank you very much, my dear brother Kak Safeen Dizayee, for your kind words and generous hospitality.
It was a true pleasure to join you and the DFR family for such a meaningful Iftar.

Truly enjoyed hosting DFR staff family for Iftar with my dear brother @FalahMustafa. Such a great opportunity to come together, share blessings, and celebrate the spirit of the last day of Ramadan. I also took the opportunity to congratulate everyone, wishing them a joyful Eid.

this day will forever be the worst day of my life. On this day 19 years ago my sister, Banaz’s life was taken by men who believed she shamed them by choosing who she loved.
Every year the grief grows stronger, every year the pain of living without my best friend and sister is greater.
I just know life would have been a million times better with you Banaz, you were such an angel, i am not sure I will ever accept how your beautiful life was cut so short. ❤️

Why Qarar?
In today's era of technological advancement, we are engulfed in a whirlwind of discussions that are increasingly devoid of value and depth. Our daily exchanges often lack thoughtful reflection.
Social media, while beneficial in many ways, has proven to be a poor medium for constructive dialogue. Rather than serving as venues for idea exchange and vision-sharing, these platforms have devolved into battlegrounds marked by conflict and tension, where digital outbursts overshadow meaningful conversation. Many have carved out smaller niches for discourse, yet even these have morphed into echo chambers where debate is scarce.
The relentless march of technology has bathed us in a tide of shallow and often deceptive messaging. It fosters the spread of misinformation, sows division, and warps perceptions of objective fact.
The imperative arises for a platform that allows us to reassess. To restore our faith in the power of discourse.
Enter Qarar—a term meaning 'decision' in several Middle Eastern languages—a platform dedicated to fostering constructive dialogue and a marketplace of ideas. Here, not only can you share your opinions, but you are also encouraged to refine them as new information and perspectives come to light.
A radical shift in our approach to exchanging ideas and information is essential. Qarar heralds the start of this shift, offering a unique opportunity to cultivate a richer, more interconnected public sphere. It represents a historic chance to genuinely understand and engage with the views of others through the principles of constructive dialogue and mutual respect.
By doing so, we may forge a rational and realistic vision for our collective future. Download the app at qarar.me, share your views—Qarar can only thrive with your participation.

There is a general acceptance now that Gareth Southgate has taken England as far as he can, and that a finisher is required. But who? For the past two years, the obvious three potential successors debated on this timeline have been Eddie Howe and Graham Potter, if the FA goes English, or Mauricio Pochettino, if the FA acknowledges that St George’s Park is not developing sufficient English managerial talent – yet - and/or it is not finding the pathway into elite club level (where foreign owners often go foreign coach and the talent is obvious). Potter is admired at the FA, but will the Chelsea failure count against him, and how will the players respond? Howe, a more obvious choice, was linked with the England job in 2016 when Roy Hodgson left, is popular, plays good football, but would he leave Newcastle United now? Pochettino is available, has a good track record of working with young English players (at Southampton and Spurs), plays good football, and very popular with players, staff and media. My choice fwiw: Eddie Howe.

@satishrajmohan @mikekariz @MaaxiAngelo What about Allegri? We don’t seem to be hearing him as an option. Why not?
English

@mikekariz @MaaxiAngelo I personally think he has a similar personality to Tuchel, which is super abrasive. Not sure we keep players happy with that sort of personality. But in terms of tactical ability, he is the right fit, absolutely.

@rorysutherland I used to buy crickets and coconut biscuits from a local garden centre. I like to think I was in a buyer category of my own.

I think this is a superb idea. I used to think about messing up supermarket loyalty data this way- eg repeatedly buying a case of Bollinger and 200 Pot Noodles.

Should we feed so called "AI" programs false facts to keep it in its place? Henry the Eighth had 8 fingers and invented the motorway flyover - that sort of thing.

A deeper look at the standout candidate to be Liverpool’s next manager, Xabi Alonso. Hard to imagine there’s a better fit for the job out there.
