@LibertyLockPod @jeremykauffman Additionally, I'm skeptical of any "expert" that gets most of their funding from the government. It's a clear conflict of interest.

@jeremykauffman I respect and appreciate genuine expertise but I base your expertise on track record, not honorifics. The era of self-annointed expertise and credentialism is over. Put up or shut up time.

Many people didn't like this take or called it a troll, but there's a sincere position being expressed here. While experts should not be blindly trusted and are sometimes wrong, some people have turned against expertise itself. This is a mistake. Expertise is real. Your opinions, if you have them, on anything from the wars in Israel and Ukraine, to Covid, to tariffs, come from experts. We may disagree on who should be regarded as an expert. We may dislike who the media chooses to label and spotlight as an "expert". But it's a mistake to go wholly against expertise, or to suggest that expertise is worthless. The proper disagreement is over who should be regarded as an expert, not the idea of expertise itself.

@TRHLofficial @LibertyLockPod The term "hands off" implies a sense of entitlement. I think it's gross that people feel entitled to other people's money.

@Chesschick01 I loved attending his concert, but I gotta disagree with him here. There's nothing wrong with with reselling your property. A market transaction, as long as it's voluntary, always makes both parties better off.

I'm going to tell you IN ADVANCE how I knew Trump was going to win. (I'll re-share this after he does and I won't delete it if he doesn't win) My secret? 🔸 I didn't follow any censored mainstream media (which is most of it). 🔸 I got most of my information from X, one of the very few open discussion platforms. 🔹 Mainstream media mostly tells lies and manipulates your perception of reality. 🔹 X allows both lies and truth (that's the definition of free speech). This is the key. 🔑 Those individuals who will be blindsided this election by Trump's (obvious to me) victory, will be caught surprised because they have been lied to and misinformed by the very news sources they trusted. ➡️ They have been given a false perception of reality (by design). ⬅️ If you want to know the truth of the world you have to use uncensored information sources. Censorship literally makes you come to the wrong conclusion. X is one of the few bastions of free speech and we should be incredibly grateful to @elonmusk for it.

I was supposed to be on IRL tonight with Dave and Angela. Sadly, I've been in bed for 3 days straight with the worst cold/flu I've ever had. Legit slept for 24 hours straight at one point. Anyway, the show tonight will be great and I'm super bummed I couldn't make it.

@jeremykauffman Any state could sue the federal government in that states' court. Any politician or bureaucrat found to have acted unconstitutionally would be criminally liable. Enshrine the freedom of association, not just assembly, into the first amendment.

@GeorgeDonnelly I think that having uncensorable, peer-to-peer cash isn't quite enough. I think we need uncensorable marketplaces as well. What do you think about the possibility of a thriving shadow, cryptocurrency economy that governments can't take down? Is it feasible?

Overall the show will focus on the difference between money (markets) and policy (force). Think Contra Krugman, but de-bamboozling monetary policy more broadly. Healthy doses of Menger, Mises, & Rothbard to explain how money, credit, debt, & interest rates should work. /3

I think the key is to defend individual rights and liberty whilst promoting a culture and social fabric that respects and benefits families & communities. Too much individualism -> hedonism, solipsism, chaos Too much collectivism -> oppression, intolerance, stagnation
Antfairall@antfairall

@ZubyMusic Societies that place an emphasis on the group as opposed to the individual will inevitably fare better Very difficult to have a consensus with individuals as too many variables with regards to needs. Groups are much better at agreeing what best serves them collectively.

@ReedCoverdale It's true that that was the reaction of most people. But, it was not the case for all people everywhere. If the chaos can lead to just one state or other political entity to declare independence, it could lead to a cascade of independence movements. So perhaps the chaos is good?

Far from a distraction, it's essential. The problem with the police isn't "racism," as the comic-book version of the world would have it; it's statism Correct answers: ProblemsWithPolice.com
