If Obama had tweeted “praise be to Allah” on Easter Sunday Republicans would… oh, forget it.

A month ago I did LBC with Nadhim Zahawi, former Tory Chancellor and Reform ‘star signing’. I argued the PM was right to avoid being dragged into Trump’s illegal war in Iran. He talked about the need to support our closest ally. Reform was wrong then. They always are.

@covie_93 When this is over and Trump is gone. The GOP should be disbanded.

Republicans said Biden declaring March 31 as Transgender Day of visibility because Easter happens to fall on the same day that year was an "assault on Christian faith," trump out here praising Allah on Easter and those same Republicans have nothing to say.

@MarkWatkins210 @HACKETTREF Pulling, pushing, striking, or committing any other physical offence against the referee or other match official must be severely punished in accordance with the Laws of the Game. IFAB I.e. regardless of intent it's a red card.

@HACKETTREF The ref's positioning was poor all game. He was in the way of players or in their space (preventing them receiving the ball). He was so central, he was on screen more than some of the players. I'm surprised he wasn't pushed out of the way long before this.

@DaleAC93 Pulling, pushing, striking, or committing any other physical offence against the referee or other match official must be severely punished in accordance with the Laws of the Game. Simply put regardless of force it's a red card.

@AwayDaysFB I get he wants to get on with the game but his team has a free kick, and a chance to set it up. Putting hands on a ref should be a red card, question is why he was not.

Couldn't agree more with this. Would have been great to see Martinelli get sent off after he thought it was okay to just shove the referee out of the way. Arsenal players strut around with such an insane ego where they think they run English football, these lot really need to...

@HACKETTREF I get he wants to get on with the game, that's really not on.. You can not barge the ref. Should have been dismissed.

That’s another incredibly frustrating end to a game that we were in front in. Don’t even know how we can get better at seeing games out other than looking at the late substitutions. Thankfully results went our way, we go again Monday. #readingfc

@AndyRFCCharman Modern football is about control. Thats what most coaches want and it does not lead to exciting football. It is very much linked to the amount of money at stake.

Jimmy Quinn today pointed out that back in his day managers set out to win games but nowadays many, like Leam Richardson, set out trying not to lose. #readingfc

@Kian4879564937 @TalkReading What til the summer, the balance of the squad is still off. As a coach you work with what you have. Right now we lack any depth up front. If we had an impact forward or two off the bench it would be different.

@GabSutton Reading need a couple of forwards in the summer, who should we be looking at? I assume we might go back in for Lisbie from Colchester but who should we be looking at?

@adamReadingFC @ramy_abousetta @thesimpsonRFC No, the squad and the group inform the tactics, If we had a better balanced squad I bet we would not try and defend deep. We have a deeply unbalanced squad still and that takes more than two windows to resolve. Roberts is our first proper LB for a while ffs.

@Chartley1983 @ramy_abousetta @thesimpsonRFC All good mentioning the squad, this isn’t about the squad, it’s tactics. The squad will sit back and invite pressure if told to with the shape they had, sure it’s not the greatest squad but it’s definitely good enough to not concede 90+5 goals every week…

@adamReadingFC @ramy_abousetta @thesimpsonRFC I would also say that unlike the Bolton/PV games, Huddersfield did not look like scoring today. That goal was down to a lack of communication for me. Either Roberts or Yiadom have to take control and clear it, but we did not like likely to score a second.

@adamReadingFC @ramy_abousetta @thesimpsonRFC Well, if we were in relegation trouble, yes. But we are not, yes it is frustrating. But imho the balance of the squad is the issue here. We lack a good forward outside of Marriott. Plus I think as the game goes later it's natural to want to protect what you have.
