Trump’s White House is completely terrified of Gavin Newsom, so they're weaponizing every tool in the government to shut him down. The Colorado Sun wants us to believe that Phil Weiser and Michael Bennet are cut from the exact same institutional cloth. Let's look at where they actually stand when the cameras are off. While Bennet has spent this entire gubernatorial campaign acting as a shield for out-of-state developers and hiding behind an $8 million Super PAC war chest stuffed with billionaire cash, Phil Weiser has been doing the actual work of defending regular Coloradans. Phil didn't wait for an election cycle to start taking on the status quo. His office has actively sued corporate landlords and went straight after the algorithmic rent-fixing real estate cartels that are driving working-class families out of Boulder County and the front range. He understands that a functioning democracy requires systemic accountability, not backroom political protection for mega-donors. Meanwhile, Bennet is sending out desperate timeline posts trying to spin standard campaign compliance into a scandal because he doesn't want anyone looking too closely at his own ledger. This is the definition of political projection. When your biggest benefactor is Michael Bloomberg, who recently donated an additional 2 million to protect Bennet, you lose the moral authority to lecture anyone else in this state about where their funding comes from. Colorandans are facing a massive affordability crisis. We don't need another generic establishment politician whose housing and economic "solutions" read like a private developer's quarterly returns wishlist. We need an independent executive willing to use the actual power of the state to protect the people living in it. Phil understands the difference between serving a constituency and serving a donor base. Bennet clearly doesn't.

It's wild to watch you lecture anyone about campaign contributions when your own campaign is under investigation for using federal Senate funds to pay for your gubernatorial travel. You already admitted you "accidentally" used those public funds for your governor's race. Since we're asking questions: are you going to return the $4.6 million in out-of-state cash Michael Bloomberg dumped into your Rocky Mountain Way super PAC to buy this primary, or do the rules only apply to your opponents?

@factpostnews Seems like he's been failing then. Sending people to countries where they have no connection to, in addition to detaining American Citizens based on the color or their skin, isn't treating people humanely.
