If Blackstone is the bad guy, @opendoor has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to position itself as the good guy in support of the American Dream. here's an idea: @realDonaldTrump announces an investment into $OPEN to help improve home affordability. Go big and take $1B for 10-15% of the company. Opendoor uses that money to buy down mortgages for buyers and reduce fees for sellers. Brand it as a "Trump Homeownership" credit in the product flow. Could be a one-of-a-kind public / private partnership to tackle what is the most frozen housing market in history.
