Unpopular opinion: Bihar does not give enough respect to industrialists. We celebrate UPSC toppers more, even though they bring no direct economic benefit to the state. Industries create thousands of jobs, generate tax revenue & reduce migration, but entrepreneurship is still not valued enough in our society. Because of this mindset, even many Bihari industrialists prefer to invest outside the state. If Bihar truly wants to become an industrial state, entrepreneurs must get a red-carpet welcome. Officials and politicians also seem careless about attracting major investments. When Gautam Adani visited Bihar, no major state leadership met him to encourage further investment.
