@TangiblePearr A police report was filed and I am pressing charges. They did get involved, but it is considered a misdemeanor and they are waiting on the DA to approve the charges.

27 days after initially contacting Amazon about my cat being stolen while delivering a package, I can finally say they have agreed to help to some degree. I will be reaching out to private investigators tomorrow to determine who the best fit will be. If anyone has any good recommendations in the LA/Orange County area, let me know!

@rla323 They will not give me his route OR put flyers on his route for me due to privacy laws. It’s frustrating! It’s a route- not a social security number! Thank you! Hoping we get some answers soon!

@DHM_137 Have they agreed to put signs along the drivers route? Or tell you the route so you can put the signs up? It’s disgusting that they’ve waited this long to contact you. I pray you find Piper. Cats are resilient! If he escaped I believe he will be found. 🙏 🙏

@PAcat15 They are working with law enforcement but can not tell me any details about what they know.

Thank you to those who have shared and reached out to @Amazon on my behalf. That’s probably why I got a call just now! (I don’t have any new info yet) -On 12/18/25, I spoke with a member of the Amazon Incident Response Team (after calling numerous times). I asked if they could have someone put up flyers in the right areas since the driver’s route can’t be shared. I was told they’d get back to me. -Today, on 1/7/25, I got a call! They said they thought I asked for reimbursement of the flyers I printed. I was told it’s still being investigated, but nothing about that investigation can be shared. I asked for a private investigator to help confirm exactly where she is or to find out what happened to her. I asked that I have them on my side helping- not just saving face with media and saying they’re doing things that aren’t happening. I’m supposed to get a call back tomorrow. 🤞🏼

Thank you to everyone who has shared about Piper, sent in photos of found cats, and/or given help in any way. I wish I had some kind of update, but @amazon has not responded to my requests for information, and law enforcement says they’re waiting on the DA to approve the case. While the chances of getting her back seem very slim at this point, I will focus on justice for Piper whether we find her or not.

@AZTJ1968 @amazon Yes. They did say he no longer works for them. The detective talked to him and he said the cat jumped out of his car, but he didn’t know where. That’s all the info I have after 26 days 😖

UPDATE on Piper the cat stolen by the Amazon driver: Sadly, no sightings of her. And now @amazon is lying!!! They are telling people they are “working directly” with the owner, @DHM_137 and they are not!!! They won’t tell her the driver’s route or put up flyers in the area! They haven’t even been in touch since before Christmas!!! It’s a big area. How do you look for a cat if you don’t know where to look? The detective in the case has said they will file charges against the driver. But at the same time they are waiting for the DA to approve the case. So which is it? As I write this I’m sitting here with my cat on my lap. I can’t imagine if someone had catnapped him. This story breaks my heart. Pets are a part of our family! The owner got this cat right after the children’s father died. They all love Piper. Come on Amazon. Tell her and us WHERE TO LOOK!! And come on district attorney!! Let’s get JUSTICE FOR PIPER.

@babybeginner @amazon @DHM_137 It's standard not to provide (directions of the driving route to) a suspect's residence address to avoid vigilantes. Am. has no right or duty to disclose beyond to police, who likely reminded Am. not to, & what company would take on such a liability risk?

Another case of a stolen pet from a third party @amazon driver. Amazon has the means and the access to help when something goes wrong, I wish they’d do more than say they’re “investigating.”

@ERORor Yeah it is! Thank you so much for reaching out to them. I’m learning they say what they need to say regardless of the truth. They also told the press they had apologized to me when I hadn’t even talked to them.

Hey everyone! So, Diane, @DHM_137 , the owner of the cat that the Amazon driver stole has posted some photos of Piper. According to the driver he put her in his car and she jumped out..somewhere. Can the sleuths on X search found cats near Lakewood, Ca? And share? 🙏🏻

@CGCutter2 No real update as of now. Thank you for checking! I’m just waiting for the case to be approved by the district attorney. I’ve heard nothing at all from Amazon.

@Freedom4everUS As far as I know, he was not arrested. The detective talked to him, and charges are being filed. I do not know his identity, but Amazon and law enforcement do. We still don’t have Piper. 😔

Oh wow! You got more of a response than I have! No- they are not working with me. They continue to say it’s being investigated, and that they will contact me when they know more. It’s almost been a month! I asked for his route so I could put up flyers- they said no. I asked if THEY would put up flyers, and they said they’d get back to me. I have heard nothing since then (this was before Christmas).

@DHM_137 Is this true? Is Amazon working with you on finding Piper, or should we continue contacting Amazon?
