I've never seen so little coverage of a major war. Even satellite providers caved to the US gov demands to block access. We're flying blind into a potential world changing catastrophe. Congress caved. Only Trump can decide not to invade and he seems to have gone insane.

Trump's Iran "plan" has essentially deteriorated into adopting the Israeli strategy of mowing the lawn.
An agreement appears to have been reached with Israel that the US and Israel will continue to bomb Iran for another 2-3 weeks, and after that, they will declare the war over without an agreement on the Straits of Hormuz.
Note that Lindsey Graham has called for the war to end in 2-3 weeks and that Netanyahu has stated that oran no longer constitutes an existential threat. The first time in his life that Netanyahu had uttered such a sentence.
During this period, as much senseless destruction as possible will be pursued in order to "bomb Iran back to the Stone Age."
But this achieves nothing but putting the US into a state of eternal war with Iran. Trump himself has stated that the next President will have to bomb Iran as well. The textbook definition of a forever war.
But the events of the past 48h - with several US planes shot down inside Iran - show that even this nonsensical plan is unlikely to work as it assumes a steady and controllable level of escalation.

In case you haven't worked it out, the Iranians used the downed pilot as bait.
I doubt Iran wanted to actually capture them. They would have acted like beacons. There is no negotiated solution possible and prisoners are just burdensome in a war like this, as Gaza taught everyone.
Trump would have used the downed pilots as further justification for his stupid campaign.

Iran engages in PSYOPs that are different to the US style of PSYOPs. It's all about poisoning priors of the opponent's military rather than fooling the public. You'll see what I mean soon. I won't spoil it.

Rescuing downed pilots from deep behind enemy lines is one hell of a mission. Heard some pretty crazy stories about Russian rescue missions in the SMO. In any case, another F-15 lost. The US clearly have not achieved total air supremacy despite what they're claiming, but inserting a rescue mission shows how porous Iranian air defenses are. Though, of course, it's a big country and choppers aren't the easiest target to detect when they're flying low.

U.S. UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopters, MQ-9 "Reaper" drones, and a MC-130J Special Operations Command aircraft are operating over Boyer-Ahmad County in central Iran. They are likely either searching for the pilots of the shot down F-15E fighter jet, or carrying out a special operations mission.

The C-130 and the other UH-64 fled Iranian airspace.
Disappointing that they didn't get shot down. Iran need to do better.
