Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame. What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed. Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

English

@SoprialaMembere Does welcoming people into the fold equate to him accepting to resign his post?
U guys are still missing the plot - are you intentionally obtuse?
Yes he welcomed them but did he accept to relinquish his post of National Chairman?
English

@SoprialaMembere You guys are so dumb. Anybody can open an account in anybody's name on Facebook.
English

@olu4double00 @SoprialaMembere So does anybody dispute him as deputy? Or you dont know he is asking to be chairman
English

@SoprialaMembere You deliberately cropped this post because you know what he said in the 2nd paragraph. It’s clear that the purported resignation later signed 6 weeks before is fake, as he described himself as the deputy national chairman in this post.

This afternoon, I spent time with stakeholders and victims of the recent terror incident in Jos, Plateau State.
No amount of money can bring back the dead, but the Federal Government will do our best to comfort them, walk with them and provide necessary assistance. Rhoda Favour, I feel your pain but no matter what we say, we cannot bring Ayuba back.
We will find the perpetrators of this dastardly acts.

INEC CHAIRMAN WARNS AGAINST PROCUREMENT LAW BREACHES, CHARGES OFFICIALS ON COMPLIANCE AHEAD OF 2027 ELECTIONS
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash O. Amupitan, SAN, has issued a strong warning to officials of the Commission, declaring that ignorance of the law will no longer be tolerated in procurement processes as preparations intensify for the 2027 General Election.
Speaking at the close of a three-day procurement training in Lagos, organised in collaboration with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), the INEC Chairman described the workshop as timely and impactful, stressing that strict adherence to the Procurement Act is critical to safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process. He noted that the training had enhanced collective understanding among members of the Commission’s Tender Board, fostering improved coordination and accountability in procurement decisions.
Prof. Amupitan expressed appreciation to KAS for its support, noting that the engagement comes at a crucial period when the Commission is set to undertake extensive procurement activities. He also disclosed that the Commission’s budget has been approved by the National Assembly, thereby providing a solid foundation for effective procurement planning ahead of the elections.
The training brought together National Commissioners, Directors, and senior staff of the Commission, and featured expert sessions on procurement communication, stakeholder management, and legal compliance. Presentations were delivered by Dr. Steve Ogidan, Chief Executive Officer of Successory Nigeria Ltd., and Prof. Adetunji O. Ogunyemi of Obafemi Awolowo University, who examined infractions of procurement law and the challenges of legal and judicial interventions.
Commending the facilitators for their depth of insight, the Chairman noted that the knowledge imparted would shape participants’ conduct and decision-making in procurement matters. He also acknowledged the support of the Lagos State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for the seamless logistics and commended participants for their active engagement throughout the training.
The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment by officials of the Commission to uphold the provisions of the Procurement Act and strengthen procurement integrity as a critical pillar in the delivery of credible elections.

@realFFK @renoomokri I hear say u don mad before. Is it true? Though is still dey pain you say them reject you as ambassador of talkatives🤪

A CASTRATED BUNCH OF FRUSTRATED CLOWNS...
Given the fact that they have been castrated by the courts and INEC and they no longer have a party and platform to stand and run on, the Association of Destructive C*nts (ADC) now have more to worry about than @realFFK and @renoomokri!
Who are the ones that have been REJECTED now??? 🤣
They have been REJECTED by the courts, REJECTED by INEC, REJECTED by their original founders and REJECTED by the Nigerian people for being erratic, unstable, unreliable, unserious, irrational, epileptic, divided, crooked, hopelessly corrupt, palpably insane and wholly incapable of forming a united, disciplined and battle-ready political party!
They can't even form a party and hold it together yet they want to rule Nigeria? God forbid!
To be sure they are not just a danger to themselves but to our country!
May I suggest that they channel all their energy to building up and forming a real opposition party over the next 5 years and then field a candidate for the 2031 presidential election?
Given the circumstances that is their best bet because 2027 is already lost to them.
INEC and the courts have spoken. The ADC has been gelded. They have been left with no balls. They are now a party of eunuchs. They no longer have a platform. They are like a headless chicken.
They are like a sorcerer with no staff. They are like a witch with no wand. They are like a racehorse with no legs. They are like a race car with no engine. They are like a ship with no sail. They are like a castle with no walls. They are like a warrior with no sword. They are like a Knight with no armour.
They are like a jilted lover who is all dressed up with nowhere to go.
Poor souls. God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform.
This is what happens when all you do is pose for group shots, talk balderdash on television, contract an army of malignant and malevolent trolls on social media, employ the services of leporous and incompetent spokesmen, contract rag sheets to spread lies and fake news, rely on your foreign friends to bring carnage and destruction and destabilise our country and lament from morning till night without offering any concrete solutions.
Frankly they got what they deserved.
Actually I believe they deserve even worse and worse will surely come their way.
To my friends and brothers in the ADC I say "Pe le o", stay calm and have a great day! 😂

I have postponed my trip to Iperu, Ogun State. My first duty at this moment is to stand with the people of Plateau.
I will be in Jos to commiserate with families who have lost loved ones and to reaffirm that those who seek to spread fear will not prevail. We will continue to strengthen our security response and ensure that justice is done.
From Plateau, I will proceed to Lagos to observe Good Friday, and then continue with scheduled engagements in Ogun, Lagos, and Bayelsa focused on infrastructure, trade, and economic growth.
In moments of grief, we must stand together. In moments of progress, we must keep building.
The work continues. Nigeria First.
