Is Wealth Tax basically the government stealing from people? 🤔 Seems like that is what it is...

🇨🇳 China is so much better than most people think: - super clean streets - calm, quiet and helpful people - technologically hyper-advanced - very safe - highly educated and productive workforce - strong culture, identity and traditions - no homeless people The West can learn a thing or two from them

To the Western tourist who just landed in Bangkok, walked through arrivals, and was greeted by his Thai friend of ten years with the words "oh, you get fat." Not hello. Not welcome back. Not good to see you. You get fat. Delivered with a enormous smile, complete eye contact, and the warm, genuine energy of someone who considers this a perfectly normal opening statement. Because in Thailand, it is. The Western tourist is now standing in Suvarnabhumi airport with his bags, his jet lag, and a brand new body image crisis he did not pack for. He attempts to explain that in his country this is considered rude. His Thai friend listens carefully, nods, considers this information, and responds with "yes but you are fatter than last time." The follow-up observation is always immediate. It is always accurate. It is always delivered with exactly the same warmth as the first one. In the West an entire therapy industry has been constructed around the psychological damage caused by unsolicited comments about body weight. Books have been written. Documentaries produced. HR policies drafted. In Thailand your auntie will grab your stomach, shake it affectionately, laugh for a full thirty seconds, offer you more food, and consider the interaction a success. The truly devastating part is that she is also correct. You did get fatter. You flew here in business class eating complimentary bread rolls for eleven hours and you know exactly what happened. Thailand does not lie to you. Thailand simply does not understand why you would want it to. facebook.com/share/p/1CV4h2…

CT love when people talk about APYs like that's everything. 🩷 We know that this cycle is all about preserving liquidity, so everyone is looking for the highest APYs. That 20% yield means nothing if volatility nukes your position.💟 But a clean boring 8–9% with tight risk management is exactly what people should target. 💅👩‍🌾
NEO@Defi_Neo

Most stablecoin yields aren't as safe as people make it sound. 👀 I came across a breakdown by @KarpatZoloto and it highlights 8 ways people are earn yield on stables rn. But not all yield is created equal. 👩‍🌾 Some are structured and relatively controlled while others come with a high risk, high reward combo. • ~10–13% → more structured plays (delta-neutral, lending, real yield assets) • ~14–20% → more complexity, more moving parts • 30%+ → you’re exposed to trader PnL and volatility swings The real mistake could be comparing APYs without asking 'where is the yield actually coming from?'🩷 'What could break this strategy?' If you don’t understand that, you’re blindly investing.💟

My new working theory: dump any position that isn't profitable pretty much right away. This is obviously a bit subjective because some guys have a 30 minute holding period while others hold for 30+ days but, subject to your timeframe, my guess is that, if you analyze your historical results, you will find that dumping things that don't work right away winds up being a net positive to your results. And I'm not just talking about $$ results, you will also conserve mental "capital" by avoiding immediate losses which drain your energy. The wisdom behind this idea dates back to Livermore. Thoughts?

I can't wait until my 6yr old daughter sees her new room. In the past she had always been ridiculed at school for not having her own room and living in a basement. 😭 Just missing her stuffies and her favorite poster.

I ran the 20 year math on @Kamino’s $ONyc multiply so you don’t have to. A $10k one time deposit, at current rates: Year 1: $11,687 Year 5: $21,819 Year 10: $47,603 Year 20: $226,717 For context, a savings account turns that same $10k into ~$22k over 20 years. Rates change of course. 20 years is a long time too. But it’s not about the numbers it’s about opportunities. And there’s no safer option in Solana DeFi than Kamino.

He's objectively right though. A lowly sinner that repents is judged more righteous than a top-tier bible scholar with a near-spotless social history and yet no faith. Jesus came for the lost sheep of Israel first, then for the sinners (those who recognize their depravity). The reason we often hear about the ex-drug addicts, porn addicts, criminals, etc, is because they are often the most vocally and enthusiastically grateful after they've been washed clean and given a new heart. There's a parable about this, who is more likely to be grateful the rich man who's $1 debt is forgiven by his debtor, or the poor man who's $10,000 debt is forgiven by his debtor? The prodigal son gets a party. But we should also give more credit to those that stay in the faith from childhood, because many lose it, having grown up on children's Christianity, and who, growing out of children's Christianity, fall into the world instead of maturing in Christ.

Christianity is only for the bottom 10% of society? The worst of the worst by any standard? Then it’s not for good and normal people doing their best and succeeding? Jesus is not for the aspirational? (The only way out of Christian anti-persuasion is through it.)
Jacob 🍜@jsrrayburn

Actually if this is your attitude, then the reverse is true. In that hypothetical, the girl that does porn, openly repents, picks up her cross and follows Jesus is more pure than a prideful Pharisee.
