transhumanism is an interesting side quest but 'the substrate is wrong' for the human/computer hybrid to be competitive with machine intelligence on feats of intellect. you have this low tech meat brain in the middle of all this lightspeed machinery, doing what exactly?

I would say that the simulating intelligence wants to maximize the emotional output of gratitude in each one of the real players as much as possible... with the amount of variables, you are exposed to in life… I assume it’s not possible to predict the most effective path for emotional output at birth. The simulating intelligence is given glimpses of how much gratitude you will produce when you pray, daydream or when you intentionally manifest… The gratitude algorithm is the guiding force

What if God doesn’t have a plan for you? You have to design your own plan. What if you aren’t born with a purpose? You create your purpose. What if you don’t inherit your identity? You become it. What if your destiny doesn’t already exist? You’re here to enable free will and decide where you’re going. What if God doesn’t want obedience? God wants you to question, create, evolve and show yourself and God what’s possible!

Does the idea that we live in a simulated universe give us hope that physical death might not be the end - without first having to believe in a religious afterlife?

@DeanChalk @forallcurious I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the percentage of people that are players versus NPC’s. Grok figures The best extraction of gratitude would be a system based on about 80% NPCs

@DeanChalk @forallcurious I think this reality has been tweaked with billions of test runs. I think there’s a good chance We are living in the best version a physical reality. I could imagine a reality where I know more or I’m happy all the time, but that would be not as effective at generating gratitude

@DeanChalk @forallcurious Sure sounds exactly like that. Test have shown that particles behave differently when being observed, like the "slot screen" experiment.
