Story time. I have a dear friend I’ve known since 1st grade. He was awesome growing up. Got in trouble a lot but it was entertaining as hell. I once found him in the hall with his hand stuck in a vending machine outside the principal’s office. Couldn’t help him before he got 1/8

and since he won’t let me help him in other ways, then I can at least do this. He was on a completely different path in life before that deployment. He deserves this and so much more. Some of my best memories were with him and I’ll forever be grateful for that. 8/8

This morning, after flags and morning announcements, we retired 4 American flags, then struck camp and made our way home without incident. As always, the boys did a great job. 9/FIN

THREAD - Troop 121 at Salt Point Campground, Sonoma Coast, California Troop 121 spent the weekend camping and hiking on the Sonoma coast. It was overcast and a little rainy but as usual the scouts muscled through with little to no complaint. 1/

Some Easter dinner highlights. Simple roast carrots, caramelized cabbage with maple and chili candied walnuts, roasted jalapeño blue cheese dressing. The main was prime rib.
