Ignosce mihi, Domine, quoniam malus sum, et tardatus sum.

I saw this movie wildly late in life for someone raised evangelical (my parents were NOT happy at the fact that youth group kids were watching it). So I saw it in my late 20s for a class with @IanNelsonMills and my husband. It remains one of the strangest film experiences of my

What do you think is the best response to climate activists gluing themselves to roads?

🚨 do you understand what New York City just accidentally admitted.. NYC spent $81,705 per homeless person last year.. the median American household earned $81,228.. the government spent MORE to keep someone homeless than most families earned to keep themselves housed.. that $81,705 isn't going to the homeless person.. it's going to the system around them.. shelters, administrators, case managers, contracts, overhead.. the industry that manages homelessness.. not the end of it.. if NYC gave every homeless person that money directly.. they could afford nearly 2 years of rent.. most of them wouldn't be homeless anymore.. instead the money goes to the system.. the system keeps running.. the homelessness stays.. and every year they ask for more funding to manage the problem that the funding was supposed to solve.. the homeless are worth $81,705 a year to the system.. they're worth nothing to it solved..

Me and a former NH free stater state rep were talking and we have both independently come to the conclusion that NH needs some sort of formal class new free staters can take and then they get a certificate proving they understand the basics of libertarianism. There are people here in the movement who have been here for a while and don’t actually get the economic stuff, for example. We could have a panel, not one God Queen of Libertarianism, and if you have the certificate it’s respected by those who respect the class. Pretty simple. He told me about the US Parachute Association. It’s a non-profit and organization that sets safety standards. Basically all of not all drop zones show they are USPA compliant and only accept USPA members. It’s like a self-regulating industry. The USPA even insures jumpers. Nothing but natural incentives to become a USPA member and it’s voluntary. I thought that was beautiful.

Why do Conservatives hate this so much? Anyone?

Taking medication when you need it is not a failure. It’s called getting appropriate medical care. The same people telling you to “avoid meds” will happily sell you overpriced supplements with no regulation, no outcomes data, and no consequences. Be serious.

NEW: The Pentagon today invited more than 3,500 employees to attend a Good Friday service at its in-house chapel. Except it’s only for Protestants, not Catholics. huffpost.com/entry/news-liv…

"The framers of the 14th amendment could never have anticipated birth tourism and mass illegal immigration" is the Right's version of "the framers of the 2nd Amendment could never have anticipated assault rifles and high capacity magazines."
