Not complicated. Legacy media is all about the news which strengthens people they approve of and weakens people they disapprove of, not about importance. Trump is bad, so things that make him look bad are worthy if coverage, no matter how trivial. Muslims in England are good, so things that make them look bad are never newsworthy.
