It would be pretty funny if the Giants traded Luis Arraez for James Tibbs. Not out of the realm of possibility either

Tony Vitello was asked if he would consider replacing Giants 3B coach Hector Borg: “I think we need to pick up the information we got from the last 3 days and I’ll get together as a group, since it’s an off day, and everybody’s got some time and tell everybody to gather up some thoughts and we need to look at any possible way that we can improve. Any possible way to eliminate mistakes as well.” Tony on the decision to make Borg the 3B coach in the first place: “During the meetings we had at Oracle Park his name came up as a guy down in the organization who some would truly be disappointed if for some reason he bounced to another organization. There are guys who switch for various reasons and sometimes if they’re even moving for a lateral position, if there’s permission, you can lose a guy. So that was kind of the origin of it. The first time I was able to meet him in person was in Spring Training.” via: @knbrmurph | @MarkusBoucher

This is sad. Very sad. I don't care what sure of the political aisle you're on; putting politics before God never ends well. As for "unfollowing" people of a different political persuasion, I try really hard not to do that. There have been a few cases where I have blocked members, but it was not because of how they voted. 🤷
Nick 🇺🇸🇺🇦@nickfromnorwood

To my LDS friends, if you support Trump or the MAGA movement, you will be unfollowed without warning. I will no longer bow down to anybody who is LDS and still supports Trump or the MAGA movement. A real Latter Day Saint would support the Democratic Party.

@RykerJackson97 This is one of the greatest differences with NT Xianity. Jesus states that there is no marriage in the afterlife, as humans are like the angels. And Jesus states as a result of his incarnation family will be divided against family. "Eternal Families" is distinctly Mormon

Of course Jesus Christ is the foundation of our faith, but what’s built on that foundation is our doctrine of eternal family relationships, eternal marriage, and the eternal union of man and woman. Disregarding or altering the Family Proclamation (which was referred to as doctrine not even a year ago in General Conference by Elder Rasband) would fundamentally alter the purpose of our mortal existence and what exaltation means. So we have to be careful with what we’re actually discussing here. We’re not talking a mere policy, we’re not talking about a cultural practice, and we’re certainly not talking about a commandment for only a specific time. Let’s compare it to the Word of Wisdom for example: Would removing the Word of Wisdom be weird? Yes. Would it fundamentally alter eternal doctrine? No. Not really. Let’s compare that to the Family Proclamation and how it’s understood in light of our doctrines regarding the plan of salvation, temple covenants, and the meaning of exaltation: Would altering the Family Proclamation be weird? Yes. Would it fundamentally alter eternal doctrine? Yes!

I am a Famproc girlie, but if you are saying the FamProc is the singular explanation of your faith or that you would leave the church if they changed it then you really need to examine what the foundation of your faith is. I have a hint for you.

@nicoraytruth In the NT, heaven is not the destination of Christians. Heaven is the dwelling place of God. God comes to dwell with believers...believers don't leave to be with God. Believers will be resurrected and live in a redeemed physical creation.

@nicoraytruth The concept of disembodied souls flying around is Greek in nature, and is foreign to the Judeo-Christian tradition, whose hope was the bodily resurrection. Early Xians battled against this platonic heresy of disembodied souls (docetics)

“Look at the temple closest to you. The one whose spire you can see from your commute, or the one an hour’s drive away, or the one in the city you used to live in. That building is not a community asset. It is not a beautiful landmark. It is a portal, in the most literal sense the word will bear, between the world of mortals and the world of resurrected beings, and the activities conducted inside it are not symbolic reenactments, they are the actual ordinances by which souls on both sides of the veil are bound to the Father and to each other. That is not a metaphor. That is the doctrine of the temple, taught plainly by every prophet from Joseph to the man holding the keys today. The work that happens in those rooms is the work that is currently happening on the other side of the veil simultaneously, with the same souls, in coordination, in real time. Every endowment is a passing through. Every sealing is a knot tied in two worlds at once. The Saints who treat the temple as a place of personal reflection are missing the half of it that is not about them. The temple is where the living and the dead meet to do the work of welding the human family back together in the order of heaven.” — your pioneer ancestor

@Piecemaker2121 Which of the dogmas that evangelicals hold are not based on sola scripture?

This is for sola scriptura-believing Protestants. Can one of you kindly explain to me why you still hold to certain dogmas that were defined BY the Catholic Church after the apostolic era when the Biblical texts ended? Is it simply that you just agree with the interpretations defined by the Catholics in these ecumenical councils, so they can now be held as binding dogma/doctrines on the same level as scripture from the Bible? If someone can be called a heretic for not holding to the conclusions of these Catholic councils, wouldn't that technically NOT be adhering to sola scriptura? And if you do affirm any/all of the ecumenical councils, why then aren't you Catholic? Was the Catholic Church true at first, and then somehow drifted doctrinally to where it was no longer the true church, and therefore in need of reformation? If so, when?

@interstatejuche 1. This has several errors as it comes from anti Mormon source 2. Jesus said there are “many mansions” in heaven - not just one static harps and clouds that everyone goes to who had the right beliefs
Sola GPT ✝️@Sola_GPT

The concept of degrees of glory in heaven is not only scriptural but a key doctrine of some of the largest Christian denoms Joseph Smith just revealed more detail on what that looks like LDS heaven is MORE not less inclusive because almost everyone inherits a kingdom of glory
