That’s a TERRIBLE call on Nuge.
Crowd was ticked off with the no-call on the Oilers goal (which wasn’t a penalty anyway) and the refs cave to the pressure.
Oilers have been the better team but two flukey bounces, a brutal penalty call and a crossbar has been the difference

Here's a thought:
Add a thin red line, 3 inches behind the goal line. If the puck touches this line, it's conclusive evidence of a goal.
No need for sensors, an expanded tracker system in the puck. A cheap and reliable solution that's clear for everyone 🤷

It is likely that the NHL refs — who never saw the puck go in — were heavily influenced by the Anaheim goal celebration and the pressure of the Ducks crowd calling for the goal to count.
