Dated someone lovely. She invited me over for a cup of tea and asked if I'd like some chocolate when I arrived. When I said I did, she melted two large bars of dairy milk in a double boiler and then ladled us each a bowlful. I ended it because of the melted chocolate.

Yeah it seems to be fairly widely used in the real world, just not literature. I was with a guy today who is virtually non verbal and needs help with almost every aspect of daily life and he would technically have the same diagnosis as you, (probably me if I had been tested) and my sister.

@DjKofithecat I think so too. There’s such a wide gap in abilities and typical symptoms between the two. I still use Asperger’s as a descriptor, it just seems more accurate.

He can’t eat cheese because he’s taking a drug called Emsam which is a MAOI antidepressant skin patch that is used to calm anxiety and give you an edge. You have to avoid high-tyramine foods (like cheese and dairy) while on it to avoid hypertension. That’s why he’s so sensitive.
