Here's the trouble with the AI witch hunt. As an experiment, I ran a text through an AI detector and found it was 76% AI-generated. The problem? My sample text was the Gospel of John! So the detectors obviously don't work. What's that leave us with? "I know it when I see it?" Yeah, I'm usually pretty good at spotting AI text, too, but while "I know it when I see it" might be good enough for Justice Potter Stewart, I'm really uncomfortable with so many of us using that and nothing else as the standard by which we judge whether or not to attack someone's career. 🕯️

These earphones I bought six months ago are already losing their charging ability. They used to last all day. Now I'm lucky to get six hours. The only thing that helps is that I'm deaf in one ear, so I just switch ear pieces. I need to find a good brand. Any suggestions?

I'm no fan of the overuse of em dashes for every punctuation mark under the sun, but telling people not to use them because of AI is like telling people not to use words because of AI. 🤷
