Here is the real reason Mark Carney is temporarily suspending the fuel tax.
Rising fuel prices pushes inflation higher, forcing the Bank of Canada to hike rates. The govt can't afford to run $80B deficits as rates rise.
It has nothing to do with helping Canadians. It has everything to do with keeping the cheap money flowing.

The Carney Liberals did not win a majority government through a general election or today's by-elections. @EDarkav @ItsDeanBlundell I’m not Dean but I’ll answer. Mark Carney is conservative for a liberal. He’s very center. I believe in another timeline he could have ran for leader of the CPC and he would have won. It makes sense that his policies might mirror conservative ones. It’s one reason he’s popular.
