I was pleased to join this visit today where the Social Homes for Manchester campaign that I've backed was discussed, with a commitment for more social housing.

In Manchester today DPM @AngelaRayner visited @mustardtreemcr, a charity working to combat poverty and prevent homelessness. Here she met volunteers who run a Street Engagement Hub, providing support to young people who are rough sleeping.

@SocialHomes4Mcr @AnastasiaWiest Please , get behind this campaign, if we can pull off these six proposals we can change the lives of thousands of people for the better. I am so grateful that I grew up on a Social housing estate in Wythenshawe, we had many challenges but secure housing made a huge difference.
