@MaxQHellcat @AJ_Specter23 @MorphingReality 3 mile island wasn’t a melt down. It lost cooling and melted it’s casing but stayed inside. No one died and not enough radiation escaped to be considered a melt down.
English

@AJ_Specter23 @MorphingReality @EnthuserH yes, but 3 mile island did. SL-1 did, the nuclear submarine at the bottom of the sea did. what is your point?
English

@DeerBoi57 @BlankEthan85350 Idk the only thing close to a meltdown ,which it was far from actually being, was the 3 mile island incident in ‘79 and no one died nor did enough radiation seep into the outer world to be a threat to the world.
English

@BlankEthan85350 @EnthuserH Where and when was it, out of curiosity?
English

@shimmedout @MorphingReality Nuclear power plants have some of the tightest security around and this guy thinks something like call of duty advanced warfare will happen.
English

@MorphingReality @EnthuserH True, which is why we have to be careful. But by no means does a country having a nuclear reactor make it automatically capable of nuclear weapons, there’s a broad disconnect.
English

@Throrf Like cost of maintenance and the convenience of them having a grid in place to transport power to them.
English

@Throrf They have no real argument anymore. I had one trying to argue cost but i brought up that renewable costs more over time than nuclear he brought up $/MWh and i stopped and realized that he thinks the power bill is just that and not paying the comp other costs too.
English

@Remitrya @NikolaPavkovi18 Someone from the country of origin themselves. Aren’t you glad the dumb ones that caused it, despite violently trying to retake it, are gone?
English

@EnthuserH @NikolaPavkovi18 Quite literally, we had entire tragedy because some morrons couldn't use radioactive teapot
English

@TBRagsdale1 Maybe not here in the states, only the ones in power. unfortunately europe is full of them.
English

@EnthuserH There really isn't much "anti-nuke power" people out there since the 70's.
English

Whether you’re a climate denier, a climate realist, a climate catastrophist - doesn’t matter, nuclear is the solution
The Deer Enthuser@EnthuserH
We love nuclear power here chat.
English

@MorphingReality We aren’t talking about weapons you genuinely cannot read. I’d say you have malicious illiteracy. Go weaponize your ignorance elsewhere.
English

@EnthuserH I’ll take a written apology deer

@dubiety1951 @JoshuaSteinman @ScottAdamsSays other sources: J. Carson Mark (August 1990). "Reactor Grade Plutonium's Explosive Properties". Nuclear Control Institute MANAGING MILITARY URANIUM AND PLUTONIUM IN THE UNITED STATES AND THE FORMER SOVIET UNION, by Matthew Bunn and John P. Holdren, which goes into commercial
English

@MorphingReality @JoshuaSteinman @ScottAdamsSays Key point it has to be enriched or used to enrich before becoming as dangerous as weapons grade. You’d have to make everything go wrong in order for an actual problem as big as say chernobyl (mass incompetence) to happen again.
English

@dubiety1951 @JoshuaSteinman @ScottAdamsSays They can be used to enrich material.
For fusion in specific you can look at Proliferation Risks of Fusion Energy: Clandestine Production, Covert Production, and Breakout by Goldston et al.
English

90% of the cost of nuclear power is regulatory.
We’re literally sitting on an infinite, environmentally safe energy source and have bureaucratically-imposed restrictions that make it mostly unusable.

What are your thoughts on microreactors?
English

@nwdiver93 It’ll cost more over time to maintain windfarms or solar since there’d be less return on investment as well as both producing far more waste in production and disposal of broken parts.
English

@NikolaPavkovi18 Something something commies can’t boil water.
English

@EnthuserH And it's not because people in the Navy are smarter (if anything this proves cavemen could operate nuclear power stations).
English

@RWlkrSmith Cheyenne mountain range big ol facility there
English

@EnthuserH 80+? You mean 100% of our shops since 2015? The navy decommissioned the last diesel ship in 2015 all our naval ships have been run on nuclear engines since then and the fist was an experimental submarine.
English

@MorphingReality “Nuclear warhead” is different from what i posted. L post you still have time to delete it
English

@thevortexkey @MorphingReality Typical of them to not be able to read.
English

@MorphingReality @EnthuserH do you know the difference between a nuclear reactor and a nuclear warhead perchance
