@Thejimpenman Not me bro. I’m part of the 51% who voted for the other 49% to be our tax slaves.

The people writing the rules for small business have never run one. They have never had a real job outside politics. Every new regulation sounds reasonable to them because they never have to pay for it. You do.

Social media has made the world the same almost everywhere. Sort of pointless to travel unless you have a psychological need to check off some arbitrary list. Exception is hiking. Different trails are different. Otherwise it’s the same food, same brands, same everything.

@StefanMolyneux The fewer kids people have the less they care about the future. They just follow their own self interest which is hardly demonic. How we got to having so few kids….thats demonic.

AI doesn't have a hippocampus nor an amygdala nor a pindeal gland nor hormones, it never experienced being yelled at as a child, it doesn't know PTSD, it never had an emotion, never experienced regret, never was jilted by a lover, never kicked an addiction, etc.; how tf could it ever create art?

AI cannot connect with the divine via the subconscious, the soul, the muse, whatever one likes to call that part of us that converts deep feeling into sound, word, image and movement and therefore AI cannot create anything that binds one human to another via artistic experience.

Inspired by Shark Tank, and people like @sbxr, Lisa and I got involved with start up companies over 10 years ago. Since that time we have invested in the dreams of multiple entrepreneurs - young and old. We have also served on their Boards for minimal or nil remuneration. Six times out ten we have lost money. Two times out of ten we are stuck in "zombie companies" that are yet to deliver a return and only occasionally does any firm make any real money. Meantime, at any moment we could have invested in our own commercial property fund or private credit or even term deposits and made a return without losing all our capital. For example the tech company we put $30,000 into seven years ago is yet to deliver a cent but we could have earned $14,000 pre tax by now AND seen our money compounded each year. We were prepared to accept losses and back people with great ideas but these tax changes tip the balance irrevocably. People like us will not bother in the future with these CGT changes. It's too risky, too time consuming and there are plenty of safe, rewarding alternatives. If we want to encourage the formation of new enterprises (and not just tech companies) we need a low CGT rate and it has to be competitive with overseas countries like the US and the UK.

@ellymelly Totally naive. The goal of government is to do what what the people vote for. Labour are in power, their voters want to rob their fellow Australians even more.

The goal of a good government should be: Lowest possible taxation. Fewest public bodies/services/institutions. Smallest public service manageable. And excellent maintenance of its duty-bound requirements such as roads, defence, water, etc. A healthy country mostly looks after itself if the bones of the nation are strong. Government is meant to take care of the bones. Instead, it's been painting makeup on its fillers injections and eyelash extensions, telling us 'oh think of the accessories' as it reaches into our wallets.

@CampbellNewman @AlboMP @JEChalmers A naive take. Average Aussie wants this grab. People voted to rob their fellow Australians legally. If you don’t like being robbed that’s too bad mate.

The extent of the tax grab from @AlboMP and @JEChalmers is now clear. It's an unprecedented increase in tax and has involved an extraordinary level of deception. They have no mandate from Australians to do this. If they want to implement their business and aspiration destroying agenda they should be taking it to the people first. It's time for a Federal election!

@LegendaryEnergy Have you read F A Hayek “The Road to Serfdom”? There’s no point even talking about politics and donors as individuals. If you remove every single one of them the next lot will be exactly the same. The system creates the corruption. The system has to change, not the people.

Ron DeSantis works for the Israel lobby, but he also likes Thomas Massie because he knows Massie does some great stuff. Trump has no soul and he is now a 100% compromised Israel lobby puppet. He doesn’t care about anyone, anything or this country. It’s all for his donors.

Stefan got married late and has one female kid. He is also very smart and a philosopher. Also I think he was early bitcoin investor. With that 0.1% setup you could hardly have put less stress on a relationship / family / marriage, certain issues just never come up for people like that, or are way less likely anyway. He is also unbelievably ignorant of arguments for the existence of god, spruiking his 100 word “take downs” of god on twitter, while not addressing or facing philosophical titans such as CSLewis or Hayek. He is one of the best guys on twitter still though!

Quite possible. I think the guy is pretty brilliant, actually. I've really enjoyed his breakdowns of family of origin stories. I think he just has the same romantic blind spot that almost all men do. Just goes to show that intelligence doesn't ensure that a man can confromt deeply ingrained scripts.

Never doubt this for a second: any man selling chivalry and legal marriage is not acting in men’s interests, nor in the interests of society. He is a recruiter for the family-court meat grinder that is devouring both.

Nothing is wrong with them, it serves their self interest and they vote accordingly. Asset prices to the moon, GDP goes up, uber drivers galore, someone to wipe your arse when the time comes. If you have 1.42 fertility rate, Australians by definition, on average, don’t care about the next generation.
