We’re being slammed by a hacker trying to impersonate us by registering at least three dozen variations of our domain. Using a capital “I” for a lower case “L” - using an apostrophe to dot an “i”. Our GC spent the better part of last week sending cease and desist emails. We post on social and send out blasts to try to warn truckers who would haul these loads, likely unknowingly participate in perpetrating a theft, only to get screwed over and not paid. Carriers need to be extra careful. Then we - brokers - have to deal with these clowns who buy MC #’s and digital assets to impersonate a carrier only to attempt the theft of our customers goods. It’s literally like whack-a-mole every day! I was on the Hill last week meeting with members of Congress to try to get them to address this matter sooner rather than later. I’ve been there before doing these meetings, talking national hiring standards etc., and the usually under-informed members seemed to have a better understanding of our issues - I mean this is on Fox News now - but their lack of urgency is so frustrating.

There are hundreds of truckloads stolen every single week by truckers that use fake credentials to perpetrate the crime. It’s becoming a multibillion dollar business, coordinated by overseas organized crime syndicates working with undocumented truck drivers in the US. Often, these drivers come from the same countries that are funding and perpetuating these crimes. Unfortunately, local police departments don’t consider these crimes their focus and due to low levels of funding, the federal government isn’t able to investigate these crimes. The only way to lock it down is to start with much higher levels of screening and compliance. The trucking industry is facing a safety and security crisis because we don’t know who is actually driving the trucks.

@Combat_learjet Amount of fuel save is extremely small. Premature ware of your starter and replacement cost. This option should be off by default and come with a warning it could burn out your starter prematurely.

They signed a 10-year CEO extension & compensation deal with @elonmusk , which offered him *zero base compensation*, but up to $55 billion in compensation if, and only if, he could more than *10x the company's value* to $650 billion, a feat no CEO has ever accomplished.

By 2020, less than 3 years later, Tesla did indeed hit a $650 billion market cap, despite the skeptics who literally called it "laughably impossible" when the plan was publicized.

Now, the Delaware courts are shooting down that compensation package, citing that the Board of Directors were not truly independent and that shareholders weren't aware of the Board's relationship with Musk.

This is a joke, an insult to basic capitalist principles, and a mockery of the work that Elon put in to grow Tesla to this point. Below is a clip from 2018 highlighting how wildly ambitious these milestones were considered by the media at that time:
