Trump never implied he would invade Greenland. When asked repeatedly by reporters, he said what every president says, that he takes nothing off of the table. That was spun and spun and spun by hysterics in the media and EU leadership to the point of ridiculousness. The pantie twisting was so moronic and incredible. On the other hand, it wasn't some "European countries opt to sit this one out". They are actively blocking, ridiculing, denouncing hindering us. While we are protecting YOU - where do you think many of those missiles were pointed, asshole? And YOU are the ones that are dependent on that oil and Russia. Pull your head out.

@ThomBrady5 When the US president implies he will invade territory controlled by a European state this is *not* antagonization? But it is when some European states opt to say "we will sit this one out" to a Middle Eastern war that has nothing to do with them? Is your account satirical?

🚨NYT: Reflecting how Iran sees its position in the negotiation process, its state media said the country had “demonstrated its upper hand in the war.” Iranian leaders are said to feel emboldened after shutting down most shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and successfully shooting down a US F-15E fighter jet—even though the US rescued both of the downed airmen.
Raylan Givens@JewishWarrior13

🚨NYT: Two senior Iranian officials said the counterproposal given to the US included: 📌 A guarantee that Iran would not be attacked again. 📌 An end to Israeli strikes against Hezbollah 📌 The lifting of all sanctions. 📌 Iran would also impose a fee of roughly $2 million per ship that it would split with Oman, which sits across the Strait of Hormuz

Yes, CJCS. Sorry, I'm on drugs apparently. And what about that do you think was a joke? You ever been in the room with your boss when he's about to put his foot in his mouth? There is no universe where he would joke about keeping something a secret. Trump wasn't as specific as he wanted to be. He thought about it and still said what he should not have. No, I am 100% not kidding you.

CBS’s Eleanor Watson et al. leaked the classified details on the Iran F-15E rescue — one pilot saved, one still missing — citing U.S. officials while the op was active. This endangered our troops. Federal statutes covering such leaks: Espionage Act of 1917 (18 U.S.C. §§ 793 & 794) — unauthorized disclosure of national defense information is a felony. Time to prosecute. #NationalSecurity

De-boosting links was a decision I’d like to see reversed. Twitter used to be a place where you could find interesting articles to read. I know they are trying to keep the traffic on site, but it’s hard to discuss the news without being able to link to primary sources, hard to be able to discuss an article you can’t link to and what should be a platform for writers makes it very difficult to promote your writing. It was good for Twitter when there was an article in The Atlantic everyone was talking about and then the writer was on Twitter discussing it with people. That is one aspect of old Twitter X should try to bring back.
James Surowiecki@JamesSurowiecki

De-boosting links made this site much less useful for both writers and readers. A big chunk of Twitter's value was that it was a one-stop shop where you would find links to a host of new and interesting pieces. These pieces were outside Twitter, but connecting readers to them made the site invaluable. Very different now.

@draloneboy Or, ime to tell them to fuck off. The Seabees built Diego Garcia and we pay for it. Similar to most European military bases that we use. And for sure the airspace over Europe. Fuck 'em. We pay for it, we use it.

Trump's own Air Force Chief of Staff had to say almost literally, "sir, please do not instantly declassify information related to this operation" at a presser today. This is not an aberration. This is how he operates. We've been through this with the bathroom classified stockpile. He, argued that he can {wave his hand} and instantly declassify thousands of files. That is the definition of no deliberation, no weighing, no thought process. No stretch of the imagination can conclude otherwise.

🚨 The UK will not allow the United States to use its airbases, particularly RAF Fairford and Diego Garcia, to carry out strikes on Iran for missions that target Iranian bridges, power plants, or other civilian infrastructure, citing concerns that such strikes could harm civilians and constitute war crimes, senior officials tell The i Paper.

@glennbeck My reaction too. And did he ask AI if other astronauts spoke french? I bet some did. But this is a guy who fires a successful CEO who failed to make a grave statement in French, only French subtitles.

While the rest of us are celebrating Artemis II's historic accomplishments for all of humanity, Canada's Prime Minister is celebrating “the first astronaut in history to speak French while en route to the moon.” I mean... they just saw the far side of the moon. But okay, Canada.

This is another thing that pisses Europeans and the left off. How can a guy, in the midst of a war, trade deals, rising oil prices, everyone shouting at him and trying to impeach him sit down and have genuine fun with kids, and be completely normal? He looks like nothing stresses him ever.

President Trump's conversation with the kids at the White House Easter Egg Roll is peak comedy 😂 Trump: "I could sign autographs for you guys. And then tonight, you could sell it for $25,000 on eBay!" Kids: "Could you sign mine?!" Trump: "[Granddaughter] Carolina's the only one that doesn't want my autograph...I would say Carolina has ZERO interest in my autograph." *signs a kid's drawing* "I think I'm going to sign this, that way I'll say I drew it. Look, I drew it! Look at what I did, everybody!" Kids: "Oh yeah!" *one kid asks about Biden* Trump: "Biden?!...He'd have an autopen following him, Joe Biden. He didn't sign anything. He was incapable of signing...So they'd follow him around with a BIG machine. Do you know what it was called? An AUTOPEN! And it'd have the autopen sign for him...Not too good, right?"

I'm just wondering...how much of this is an act? To use the Art of the Deal is one thing. To send a country of 90 million back 100 years without power, water and sanitation is completely another. I'm absolutely in the dark on this and I can't help but feel a script is being followed on both sides. I think it ends well and what Trump reports vs the media are two opposite sides which I could understand if they are getting only one side from Iran. My guess is that Trump pulls off a stunning end to the war in the final seconds.
