EXCL: Andy Burnham has credible plan to return to Westminster “within weeks” with GM mayor expected to use a byelection fight to set out new agenda for government, allies say. Burnham, who was blocked by NEC from running in Gorton & Denton, has identified several seats where MPs are prepared to step aside for his leadership bid. In a sign that his campaign is more progressed than previously thought, Burnham’s team is understood to have lined up an “impressive” candidate to replace him as Greater Manchester mayor. Allies said he planned to outline a “radical rewiring” of the state in coming weeks – including changes to electoral system and a 10-year growth plan. “Apprehending violent and dangerous criminals is a full contact and messy task which may appear shocking to observers with little experience of policing in the real world.” Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley writes to Zack Polanski.

Malcolm Offord, Farage's man in Scotland, was the wrong choice to lead a Reform populist revolt. He lacks political edge, exudes privilege & now it turns out owns six houses, five cars and six boats. Hardly in touch with 'the man or woman on the street'. heraldscotland.com/news/26064425.…

🚨Yesterday, Starmer removed all hereditary peers from the House of Lords It was the end of the 700-year-old tradition. The office of the Lord Great Chamberlain dates back to 1138, but this has also been eradicated. Labour loves doing away with tradition!

NEW: John Swinney in Edinburgh says he has one house, one car and no boats. Comes after immodest millionaire Malcolm Offord boasted about his wealth.

Keir Starmer completed the process of removing all hereditary peers from the House of Lords yesterday It was the end of the 700-year-old tradition It was initially thought the office of the Lord Great Chamberlain would be spared as it dates back to 1138, but it also disappeared

NEW: The Scottish Greens have pledged to introduce an 'Offord tax' after Reform UK's Scottish leader 'boasted' about owning six homes, five cars and six boats in a live TV debate

Does Scotland need more Malcolm Offords? 👇
