I’m not really a story person i used to be but now i feel like i’m seeing the same tropes over and over so i’m more about unique mechanics and systems d FF12 has it in spades imo that’s why it’s my favorite. The voice acting, exploration and bestiary is also top notch

@Tamaramonkey @FrankConniff In so many episodes Xander would come out with a comment referencing a Show or Character that i adored and sometimes obscure ones.. i loved his comment "hes got a poster of the vulcan chick from Enterprise on the wall" Enterprise is my equal 1st Trek series with DS9

He was brilliant and warm and funny. He also just understood Xander's character and how someone might not have the closest relationship with their biological family and instead choose their family by connecting with friends and standing by them. Yes, part of that was the brilliant writing, but a lot of the greatness of Xander also came from the playful soulfulness of Nicky. We knew Xander had experienced some loneliness and he was no stranger to heartbreak and unrequited love, but instead of being constantly bitter, or broken by the apocalypse lurking around every corner, he'd give everybody something to live for by lightening the mood with some well-timed levity, and Nick was a natural at that. It flowed out of him. He's what those badass girls were fighting for. For the Xanders of the world to keep cracking wise and being there with a hug or up for any adventure. Friendship was his super power. And Nicky could be a good friend, too (when he wasn't drinking/struggling with drugs/pain meds which he was the first to admit). He still strived to be there for people. To lift others up. To tell others not to give up even when things felt really dark. Talking to him actually saved my life when we were both going through spinal surgeries. I couldn't move. I couldn't do anything. I was in a neck brace for 9 months to a year. In a hospital bed for 6 months straight waiting for metal to fuse to my spine, and Nicky would talk to fans and cast members or even extras while driving in his car (I didn't work on his shows, but I knew day players who did). I'd hang out in his video chats and streams and he'd talk openly with us. He would talk about pain and stress, sure, recovery from his own multiple spinal surgeries, but he was quick to talk about things we could all appreciate and look forward to. He'd share music with us, and he had a great singing voice. He was so talented and silly. He'd give us updates sometimes on his buddy Emma Caulfield and upcoming events. He was a traveling man. He kept going back to it even when it was hard. I know he had difficult times and sometimes he sabotaged himself and his personal relationships. It came from insecurity from wanting so badly to be the best for people, and the pain of feeling like he couldn't be. Some frustration and yes anger about tough circumstances, too, but he copped to that. He felt remorse. He knew he had things to make up for. He was resilient in a way that just kept giving hope to those of us who couldn't give up on him (though I get why some had to bail for their own well being). Even after disaster, I rooted for him to turn it around, and I heard that lately, he was doing just that. In recovery and working towards healthy. He hoped for people around him to take better care of themselves, too. Glad he may have been at peace in the end, and that the very human way he loved people was immortalized in his characters. To those who haven't seen Coherence, there's catharsis and introspection in that role, too. And of course, as usual, his natural seemingly effortless off the cuff wit. I'm going to miss that guy. ❤️

I’m in the midst of a Buffy rewatch, and this guy really knew how to land a wisecrack. Also handled his emotional and dramatic scenes well. Understand he had a troubled life, but his legacy as an essential part of a great show is secure. Rest In Peace Xander.

@Tamaramonkey This is abhorrent behaviour when ppl do false claims to others.. a friend of mine who was an aussie icon got falsely accused of this too & within a week he was written out of the series he was a lead actor on..,just recently he was proven innocent but the damage already done

Magazines have been quietly retracting and deleting unverified claims of wrongdoing supposedly by Joss Whedon. Where is the apology for publishing false information about him?
