its easy to cope with this when you're so immersed in crypto & trading, but the truth is money only matters up to a certain point
this number completely depends on your circumstances, but generally speaking, its however much you need to
1. take care of all your family & personal needs
2. satisfy your materialistic desires (which btw you'll get bored of after 1 year)
3. earn freedom
for example, if you need $5m to check all these boxes, then going from $5m --> $10m net won't actually solve any more problems for you. your life would be pretty much the same as it was before
(btw, your "number" is probably much lower than you think it is)
after this point, you'd only want to earn more money for additional dopamine or out of pure boredom
not to mention that you don't need to earn your "number" by today. you just need it throughout your entire life, so its better to take it month by month (much less stressful/more realistic this way)
obviously most people will never hit even $1m in their lifetime, so maybe this post is out of touch, but my point still stands: money can only do so much for you
on CT, we oftentimes cry about missing out on an additional $10k, $100k, etc. in reality though, that extra money most likely wouldn't change your life much (assuming you already hit your "number"
counterpoint to @ThinkingUSD: 99.99% of your problems would be solved by finding a loving partner + having kids + strong relationship with the rest of your family

i think setting goals of $/month as a trader is extremely -ev its kinda corny but your only goal should be being the best trader possible crypto is way too unpredictable to set financial goals (besides more long term ones & even those will ultimately change due to market conditions) attaching yourself to a number will make you more emotional the further/closer you get to it as well e.g. you might get lazy if you hit the $10k goal within the first 7 days of the month however, if you focus on consistently improving your skills & being the best trader possible, money will inevitably follow some months you'll outperform, in others you'll underperform/be flat but regardless, you're making the most out of the market in front of you rather than emotionally chasing an arbitrary goal
