@EmiratesSupport Thank you, but I only have received an email confirmation for one of the 4 tickets. Will refund be processed for all of them?

@EmiratesSupport I posted my refund a few days ago but have only got a response for one of four tickets on the booking. I put in details for all 4 tickets. When should I expect to see this acknowledged please? Thanks

Anyone have any good challenge tasks for IAL maths Pure 1 and pure 2 please? ’ve used Dr frost but need something more challenging for my y12’s as they are very mixed group and I need to keep the top end challenged @maths @mathsjem

@MrBMaths3 We are going to use Dr frost from September. Otherwise we used sparx but found ks4 didn’t engage in it as well. I made homework booklets this year but it was hard getting all students to complete in full and bring it in. So trying to find a solution that works and is beneficial

@HarinaBassi @MrMac_Math @mathsjem We started in January with Sparx. Did year 7-10 as 11s were already on exam papers. Hoping to roll into year 11 next year. What do you use for ks4 instead?

@HarinaBassi We use Sparx from the beginning of Year 7 until Easter of Year 11.

@HarinaBassi @mathsjem @1stclassmaths Hi! We use Sparx Maths. It’s very good for KS3/4. Sparx tries to enforce written working out by doing ‘bookwork checks’ but I don’t think this works well. Also, I’m sure most kids use AI to answer online questions. No booklets. 😊

Need some D1 IAL help please @maths Twitter! How do they get 9800 for part e? Even when I use simultaneous I cannot get the answer they require, what am I missing? TIA for any help! (It’s from Q7 Jan 2020 D1 IAL edexcel paper) @mathsjem @mrbartonmaths

@MsT31415 I teach as much as I think they can cope with, leaving out topics I know they just won’t grasp that are above their grade. Lots of retrieval of topics where they can gain more marks.

Maths people/HoDs. Thoughts on cutting down the curriculum for lower sets. E.g set 6 are aiming for grade 1/2/3 foundation and set 4 are aiming for 4/5 higher. Do you still teach them the topics above their grade or do you dedicate more time to retrieval of accessible topics?

@MrMac_Math Edexcel? We do P1 in term 1, exam in Jan. S1 once a week from sept, P2 from term 2 and then sit P2 and S1 in May. We do same for P3, D1 and P4 in Y13 - opportunity to retake P1,P2,S1 and P3 if needed

Does anyone have a task on trig graphs that involves intersections that then scale in radians so original is 0 to 2pi then it goes from 0 to 100pi for eg and you need to give the number of intersections? @mathsjem @draustinmaths @DrFrostResource TIA

Students perform great in class tasks but fall in exams. How can we support them better? Other than exam practice what do other teachers do? Looking for ideas and suggestions please #maths #teaching @mathsjem @mrbartonmaths any help please?

@MrMac_Math Find it difficult to get KS4 kids to complete Sparx, they prefer a written HW. KS3 are good with sparx on the whole. I was thinking of the quizzes, might start implementing it, thank you!

@HarinaBassi My students are the same. Have you tried fortnightly low-stakes quizzes? Also, I’m a big advocate of Sparx Maths, which I think is helping move them in the right direction.
