@Sarutheone @CeeMulengah @ukusefya I think his basis of argument it’s on revenue not fully realized. When Vic Falls is treated as just a stopover in a South Africa-packaged tour, most of longstay spend is captured elsewhere and not being a “photo backdrop”. It good to have data though.

We think we need someone else’s resources(mari ye start 😅), more experience, perfect timing(trust me, the time will never be right🥹)— when in fact, the seed of profit is often hidden in the very passion we already hold. 🧶Taking the First Stitch My journey began with nothing more than yarn, a hook, and curiosity. When I first posted my work online, I wasn’t sure what would happen — but to my surprise, an order would come … then another. That’s when I began to think: “What if this could really work?” I took a leap: I started small, sold at fairs, experimented, learned. Over time, those small steps shaped a sustainable business that honors creativity and flexibility. 💡 Beyond Just Making — Embracing Flexibility & Multiple Streams One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that turning passion into profit doesn’t mean giving up everything else. Instead, it often means designing multiple income streams around your craft: • Products — Beautiful handcrafted bags and accessories that people can touch, wear, and treasure. • Training & Workshops — Sharing my skills so that others can start their own creative journeys. • Patterns & Digital Assets — Offering the blueprint, not just the finished piece. This flexibility has been the lifeline of my business. Even when one stream slows, another flows. It also keeps me creative and resilient — I’m never boxed in. 🌟 From Doubt to Impact When I first began, I didn’t see myself as a “businesswoman.” I saw limitations. But over time, through trial, failures, and breakthroughs, I discovered that the biggest limit is the one we place on ourselves. Crochet has not only given me a livelihood, it has allowed me to inspire. Today, many people in Zimbabwe see a crochet item and immediately think of me. I’ve had the privilege of training fellow creatives, encouraging emerging entrepreneurs to believe in their own work, and instilling confidence where once there was doubt. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone unlock the courage to start — and knowing that my journey played a part in their belief. ✨ What I hope you’ll take away from my journey: 1. When you tell someone that Victoria Falls is in Zimbabwe, a lot of things come to mind. Beyond marketing Vic Falls, there’s need for intentional efforts to promote Brand Zimbabwe, the benefits will influence marketability of our resorts. #TravelZimbabwe
