@HopeWithBTC, as the name suggests, is a charitable initiative created with one simple goal: To share hope through Bitcoin.
How did this initiative begin?
It was on a Sunday, during a walk along the beach in Cotonou.
I saw children standing still in frozen poses, acting as living statues.
They were doing this to earn a few coins from generous passersby…
Just enough to buy a meal or a piece of clothing.
That scene deeply moved me.
I thought: “No child should have to live like this. No parent would ever choose this for their child.”
Then the idea came: What if we used the power of Bitcoin to help the forgotten?
Street children, the homeless, the sick, orphanages, underfunded schools…
On January 8, 2025, - Hope With Bitcoin - was born.
And quickly, we began taking action.
Our mission:
- Provide meals to the homeless and vulnerable children
- Support orphanages and public schools
- Assist sick individuals in need
- Introduce people to #Bitcoin and #Nostr as tools of freedom
- Raise awareness through educational stickers placed in public spaces
What we already do:
- Distribute meals to children living in the streets
- Provide food supplies to Bon Arbre orphanage
- Help individuals struggling with illness
- Pay local vendors in Bitcoin
- Educate beneficiaries about Bitcoin in a simple way
- Share all proof of our actions on Geyser, Primal, and X
What we’re working on:
We plan to launch a pig and poultry breeding project to make our mission self-sufficient and sustainable.
