@SilentGhost263 Yeah I think this is well overdue. Hope the young fella plays well and nails a spot.
English

WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Give him at least month straight as a full time Midfielder Brad!! if it doesn't work you'll never hear from me about him again!!

Elijah Tsatas is set to play his first game of the season for Essendon. It comes off the back of 36 disposals and eight clearances in the VFL v Footscray. The prolific ball winner gets his chance v Melbourne. @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne

@PatrickRyen @ScooterMcNeice Depends what we want. Guelfi did a great job cutting Bailey Dale out of the game after half time.
English

@ScooterMcNeice I wouldn't be bringing in anyone ahead of Guelfi based on what I saw last week. But we will see what the coaches decide.

I’ve been trying to think of 80s and 90s cricketers who missed out on the franchise revolution, but who may have been big money players (if they’d had the chance).
So far I’ve got:
Sir Viv Richards
Sir Curtly Ambrose
Courtney Walsh
Sir Ian Botham
Darren Gough
Graham Gooch
Robin Smith
Kapil Dev
Anil Kumble
Mohammad Azharuddin
Allan Donald
Lance Klusener
Javed Miandad
Saeed Anwar
Imran Khan
Wasim Akram
Waqar Younis
Who have I missed out?
English

@PaulZauch Ever thought maybe it’s because interstate clubs are strong at the moment? Your bias is showing through.
English

Ever notice how these “top target” stories always seem disproportionately about non Victorian players?
At the moment we’ve Ben King, Zak Bailey, Zak Butters, Logan Morris …
The footy media are as partisan as Trades Hall.
National competition?
Give it a spell.

"Logan Morris is fast becoming an obvious candidate to be a top target for the Devils." 👀 @CalTwomey and @RileyBev discuss the young Lion + more on Gettable: afl.com.au/video/1492863

If he doesn’t enter the ground on a blue Batmobile, I’ll be extremely disappointed

@MoggedByZinger @georgrampling Get a life, stay off Essendon threads you fucking gronk. Do you even enjoy football?
English

@MoggedByZinger @georgrampling Here he is, right on cue. Don’t even have to bait the hook. Loser.
English

@georgrampling Anything but winning a game of football lads
English

@au_samschriever Psychotic and inaccurate on so many levels. Life is just a game on PlayStation isn’t it? Just switch shit around as you please.
English

@1116sen It’s an unwatchable pile of dogshit, but you go off mate.
English

Does it get any better than that! 😱
Football is well and truly alive!

@edman7462 @3AWisfootball @essendonfc See you in 3 days on here in another Essendon based thread about not getting Merrett more like it.
English

It's fair to say a few eyebrows were raised about the post during last night's game.

@edman7462 @3AWisfootball @essendonfc Rent free mate. So many of your kind on here can’t get over it. Chin up mate, Mitchell will find someone else to take out to lunch then fail to make a trade for them. He specialises in it.
English

@JakeELee25 @3AWisfootball @essendonfc Im not butthurt. I was against the trade. I am 100% in on schubert, Nairn and Jack Dalton. #essendumb Losing and calling it winning
English

@edman7462 @3AWisfootball @essendonfc Sigh….another butthurt Hawthorn supporter. Can’t you just enjoy the fact that you are a finals team and a lot better than us. Geez.
English

@3AWisfootball Let's be real they can talk up how great things are @essendonfc but the scorelines, lack of effort, & celebrations by merrets wife at their demise is reality. Not trading merret was one of the biggest missteps in Aust. Sports history. Efc, worst run club in sport right now.
English

@BomberRicko @wim91 Will be great to see him and Ridley play together.
English

@muzz_francis @BradKlibansky It’s there for the taking. Just needs a push from someone with a large cheque book.
English

@JakeELee25 @BradKlibansky This is where it’s good to separate the “game” and the “league” . Vic is screaming out for an alternative

✍️ “The current state of the game”
After tomorrow, the early “Bye Rounds” will finally be over 🙏 From next season it needs to end!
The 2026 early fixture has been horrendous. I hope I’m wrong but the rest of the season isn’t looking much better.
The mid-season “Bye Rounds” are only 8 weeks away! That’s another 5 weeks of “Bye Rounds”. I’m not sure having 9 “Bye Rounds” in a 24 round season is good for the game 🤷
There’s just going to be no momentum this season, whilst the gap between the best and worst teams continues to widen. The current competition is not nearly as even as it should be and seems to be getting worse.
We’ve already seen a lot of 50+ point thrashings. A team last night scored 35 points and lost by over 21 goals at home! Tassie coming soon won’t help either.
It’s only Round 4 and we already have three teams- Richmond, Carlton and Essendon whose seasons are over. They will be lucky to win 10 games combined. West Coast and Port Adelaide won’t be as bad but aren’t far behind.
I’m sure the race for the “Top 6” will be exciting come seasons end but it’s going to be a very long year ahead for many with so many average and poor games each week.
At least we have “Wildcard Round” to look forward too 🤷♂️
What about the new rules? It’s still early days…but
No sub, 5 on the bench ✅ 🙏
The Ruck - 🤦♂️
The “Stand” - 👎
The last touch out of bounce- 🤔 🤷♂️
Would love your thoughts on some or all of the ⬆️
Some may like “Opening Round”, the new rules or think the game is in good shape and that’s fine! It’s ok to disagree!
English

@ScooterMcNeice Nguyen showing what a few in the seniors need - desire to win the ball, desperation to win it back when it’s turned over and good decision making with ball in hand.
