@CbjWally24 The years we’ve had the number two pick has been absolutely horrendous draft years. In a lot of ways, we hurt ourselves by either Deen just good enough to never get a good draft pick or bad enough when the draft is bad

@CbjWally24 Yeah, I’ll throw one more out there. Most point per game players are homegrown they are drafted by their teams. We will never get that when we always are middle of the road. How many times has Blue Jackets have been number one overall? One time and we had to trade to get it.

I know it’s easier than said then done. But if DW truly believes in this team he needs to go get a star forward. It’s ridiculous after 25 years that we have only 1 forward EVER with more than 80 points (Panarin). Only 1 team with Lower (Seattle) #cbj

@CBJ_Opinions However when we keep ending in the middle of the pack we can’t get that. Everytime we are at the bottom we loose the lottery or it is a junk draft. We have never drafted number 1( except when we traded for it) we need top 3 superstar and top goalie(sorry Jet).

@CBJ_Opinions One thing this team needs the most is something you can’t trade for. That is that true superstar. Closest thing we had to that was Rick Nash. And maybe he could have been if he had the right players around him. Like this team now around him. We have to draft that player. 1/2

@michaelnef44 @TheUBSoldiers The problem is a lot of this comes down to there will not be free agents to replace them with. With the cap going up most players are resigning. Everyone’s says they do bad just send them packing. However who is an improvement out there that they can get?

@CBJ_Opinions It is not the “BIG” splash fans wanted. I also think it is still possible to take a run at another player who might be scratched a lot as a back up. And a D. However I think this trade shows he is not willing to sell the farm right now.

Lastly, and this is the big one, DW was able to swing for an upgrade while only giving up picks. Even with a 6 yr ext kicking in, the fit feels right and at that cost, I think DW made a very good move 4/4 #CBJ

Garland thread First off, DA mentioned on the broadcast he wanted to get the team some scoring help and while he isn't a huge name, Garland definitely provides a boost to the teams depth scoring 1/?

@LarryMobile @NBI_Hockey Still with the new salary cap 6m is not that bad. He is also a helm of a two way player and will help on D side. He is like an upgraded version. Of Danforth I think. People hated the March trade saying he bad from numbers in Seattle. And now they love him. Let’s give him a chance
