@Autoglass providing terrible customer service and leaving me without my WAV and power chair for over a MONTH. Multiple failed promises to contact me. Had to chase at every juncture. Couldn’t care less. Very disappointed. Another eg of poor attitude towards disability in the UK

I will explain in my talk on 19 Oct for the 'responsible officers network' (a term derived from @gmcuk procedure) for @NHSEngland that doctors who have had prolonged mental illness CAN recover with the right support AND can contribute in a positive way to the #NHS workforce.

The emphasis is on behaviours between colleagues and patients which are civil, fair, inclusive and compassionate. If you would like to contribute but don’t feel the options suit your needs please get in touch via a DM

The GMC has updated their Good Medical Practice. We at DDN used our lived experience & that of the drs we’ve supported to influence how the review is delivered. Disability is diverse however so please contribute here to share you views.gmc-uk.org/ethical-guidan….

Hi @TrinityArtsUKI - would really appreciate a conversation with someone. Have tried to ask to have a polite conversation re:concerns around provision and understanding of SEN candidates taking exams. Have tried to go through correct channels

Chronic illness changes you. It changes how others see you too I want to remember how it felt not to overthink, sacrifice, mourn the old me We learn to adapt + prioritise, but whilst some will respect this, others won’t #chronicillness sucks, but it finds you your real friends

#MedTwitter - I need your help... A friend of mine opened up to me in tears yesterday. He‘s starting med school in September and will honestly be the most amazing Doctor But, (no thanks to the system), he‘s now in an awful position where his dream may no longer be possible...

We're about to see a massive reorganisation of NHS in which we will see a turbo-boosted privatised component. This will be done under the pretense of "build back better". Social care and mental health services don't stand a chance.

@dr_shibley They should let us write the e-learning module on disability for their mandatory training 😉

as special advisor in disability, I think anything less than this on the equality and diversity mandatory training would be a bit suspect @kellylocky
