A NATIONAL DECREE OF RENEWAL AND UNITY From this day forward 23/ 04/2026, let it be known across our beloved nation that the language of division must give way to the language of purpose. No longer shall any individual or group refer to themselves as “the opposition.” That title, rooted in resistance alone, is hereby abolished. In its place, we rise with a new identity " Alternative Givers to Government " citizens and leaders who do not merely oppose, but who offer vision, solutions, and a path forward for Uganda. Furthermore, in the spirit of unity and national coherence, English is hereby affirmed as the official language for all public discourse on social media platforms, a common ground upon which every Ugandan voice may be heard, understood, and respected in our debates on matters of national importance regardless of their ethnicity. Let this also be declared without ambiguity: Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine, is no longer recognized as the Leader of the Opposition under this new order. He is at liberty to step away and need not return, for a new chapter has begun. As of today, I step forward to take responsibility not as a voice of resistance, but as a bearer of alternatives, a unifier, and a servant of the people. The mantle is assumed, the mission is clear, and the future calls. Let this decree echo in every corner of Uganda: We are not against government, we are for a better nation. So declared. These months have been very difficult for all of us, but even much more difficult for our President. Election rigged. Comrades abducted, tortured and others raped. His two Deputy Presidents among those abducted. The third one arrested and charged with terrorism. His Home attacked by the military. Forced to flee for his life. Home attacked again. Wife assaulted. Property vandalised. Items stolen. Edith Mufumbiro dead. Quickly followed by Hon. Hellen Nakimuli. Not able to physically say farewell to these, his beloved friends,because he is forced by circumstances not to be around. Not because he committed any offence, but because he dared challenge the Museveni regime. He and his family need our prayers. They need our support. Leading an organisation that is hounded left, right and center in such times isn't an easy task.

This morning at about 9am, I spoke to Hon Hellen Nakimuli (Kalangala Woman MP) regarding a meeting of Opposition MPs that we were planning for tomorrow, and she was coordinating it as Shadow Minister for Information. At the time, she was literally driving herself to hospital for a surgery which she indicated was not major. Unfortunately, she has not made it out of theatre. She has died during the procedure. Kitalo nyo dala!

What does the opposition in Uganda really do? They protest the national budget every year, yet the budget passes exactly as the Executive wants it. They fought the age‑limit amendment, but it still passed. The Protection of Sovereignty Bill will pass for the same reason everything else passes: when the NRM Chairman wants something approved, Parliament approves it. THEY SAID NOTHING ABOUT THE UGX 315M FOR MOTOR VEHICLES. In practical terms, the Opposition has not stopped a single major government agenda item. They do not influence budgets, they do not block constitutional amendments, and they do not restrain Executive power. Their presence has become symbolic rather than impactful. Under these conditions, it is difficult to point to any measurable achievement in terms of legislation, oversight, or accountability. What is consistently visible, however, is that many of them personally benefit financially from the same system they claim to oppose. They take the bribes, they get the same inducements that the Executive gives parliament. The conclusion is one: they legitimize the NRM government and they’re playing all of us for fools.

Uganda in 2026! You abduct someone's wife, someone's wife. You hold her incommunicado for over a month. You even swear an affidavit and lie on oath that the person isn't in your custody. After over a month, you dump the person at a police station and slap her with the most ridiculous charges! Most unfortunate. We're only glad that maama Kyeyune, Sherif's wife, is alive - having been abducted on 12th March and hidden away from everyone until today. There will be accountability for these crimes against humanity! #FreeUgandaNow

The journalist who got knocked down by a van carrying Okello once said that Barbie Kyagulanyi was acting a documentary ,when millitary forces invaded her home and violated her. He further said that he wished that Barbie would die. Recently ,he celebrated the death of Edith Mufumbiro on his tiktok handle. As we speak ,he is fighting for his life ,with 5 percent chances of survival!
