Update on the #bot attack: after having almost 120k bot followers, finally I am down to 17.8k. Before the bot attack I had 400 followers. I am glad that @X @Support @elonmusk are working on trying to mitigate the bot problem, I know it's challenging but I hope they can do it.

Update on the bot attack. A few weeks ago I started asking questions to @MarioNawfal about the bot spaces covered by Upper Echelon, then I got contacted on my @skywalker64007 account by "Romy" that provided an useless report on the bots. Then my accounts started being botted.

1/ Over the past few months I have been tracking a series of related compromises for McDonald’s, Usher, Kabosu Owner, Andy Ayrey, Wiz Khalifa, SPX 6900, etc on X & IG which has resulted in an estimated $3.5M+ stolen via launching Pump Fun meme coins.

Seeing some suspicious activity with the crypto exchange @bitforexcom. On Feb 23 their hot wallets saw outflows of ~$56.5M. Shortly after this time withdrawals stopped processing with no official announcements having been made since. Currently users are asking questions on X/Telegram trying to get a response from the team. Interestingly one month ago their CEO stepped down. Hey everyone, time for an update after 4 long months of working in the background. 🫡 🟢First off I'll start with some positive news, the hacker sent a portion of the stolen ETH to @okx where it was promptly frozen thanks to the help of @zachxbt, @star_okx and their team! These funds remain in govt custody but regardless of the outcome, the incredible work by Zach and the OKX team has been greatly appreciated. 🔴On the negative side @friendtech, racer, @shrimppepe, @paradigm. Not a SINGLE response has been provided to any of the victims of these hacks. Victims who have cumulatively paid over $150k in fees to FTs platform. They've simply ghosted us at every turn, we still have zero clarification on: 1. Compensation - In points or ETH 2. Account Recovery - how will we receive our points with our current account being compromised? @privy_io Any response at this point on the above points would be a step in the right direction. And thanks to any and all that have supported myself and the other victims over the past months, it means more than you can imagine. ♥️

Received a DM about @DogecoinRide an influencer with 550K followers who recently scammed a follower for a paid promotion. In the screenshots below you can see them agree to the terms with a $150 payment sent on 12/23 before DogecoinRide completely stops responding. I would avoid working with this influencer. I hope Optimism badgeholders in RPGF round 3 are mindful of what constitutes a public goods when voting. It’s slightly concerning to see some of the projects at the top of the ballots who have received significant VC funding or are closed source systems. Comes across less as funding public goods and more as retroactive funding (voting still ongoing until Dec 6) This post may end up hurting my chances at RPGF this round but I would be disappointed to see true public goods such as OtterScan, BlockScout, Revoke Cash, Defillama, or Rotki miss out. In the future I think projects need to be required to disclose their funding sources.
