🇪🇸🤝🇰🇷 Breaking News. Hanwha Aerospace and Indra have officially agreed to partner on Spain's next-generation self-propelled howitzer program. This project is considered a key undertaking for the Spanish military and is estimated to be worth 4.5 billion euros. The project comprises a total of approximately 330 units, including 128 next-generation self-propelled howitzers, 128 ammunition resupply vehicles, 21 recovery vehicles, and 59 command and control vehicles.
Spain will lead the platform design and production based on K9, while Hanwha will exclusively supply key components.
Also, partnering with Spain makes it easier to target the Latin American market.
Meanwhile, Hanwha Aerospace is focusing on the simultaneous development of the next-generation self-propelled howitzer K9A2 and the ultra-long-range system K9A3.

@CasualArtyFan @SpaghettiKozak Ground based and air defense against all categories of UAV will evolve and everything from the simple shotgun to laser guided aircraft rockets, interceptor drones, and who knows what else, will be part of the fast evolving picture (had to throw the ST pic in!)

@CasualArtyFan @SpaghettiKozak Operations with Yaks and backseat shotguns are the product of a military using any means at their disposal to meet an immediate and real threat, and both threat and counter measure continue to evolve, so yes it's true that many are jumping to conclusions at this early stage..

Folks will try and train infantry to use shotguns to shoot down drones, I think they should take a step back and watch videos like this.

"It was decided to equip the new aircraft with the upgrade architecture so that the radar can be installed immediately upon arrival." There are concerns about combat readiness.
