Grateful for this community!
Thanks again to the 🐐 @subscriptiondoc for putting together a great workshop and having me as a speaker.
Moderating a panel was my first as well. That was a ton of fun being alongside a group of retention queens!
Let’s keep building baby! 📈🐺

This is what online shopping looks like when real humans are texting for your brand. 💯
Building trust with your customers that the best Ai or automations will never be able to do. 🫶🏻
And plus, We all know a dog is man’s best friend (so they say… 🐶)… s/o our @LiveRecover agent, Tessa for the hookup! 🤟🏽📈

Revenue lift is great. We love that part. 📈
But brands are usually shocked by the conversation insights. 🧠
Real shoppers telling you why they didn’t buy. 💬
Maybe checkout is confusing.
Maybe shipping scared them off.
Maybe a pop-up annoyed them. 🤔
It’s feedback you normally never get… now given to you at your fingertips. 📲

Last month we texted 478,000 people who abandoned their carts.
28% texted back.
More than 1 in 4 people who "abandoned" their cart were actually just... waiting for someone to ask.
Here's what they said:
1️⃣ 27% had a checkout that was straight up broken. Payment wouldn't load. Coupon field errored out. They wanted to give you money and your site said no.
2️⃣ 18% had a shipping question. "Does this ship to Canada?" "Will it get here by Friday?" Basic stuff. Answerable in 30 seconds.
3️⃣10% thought the price was too high, but when an actual person walked them through the value, a lot of them bought anyway.
4️⃣ And yes, 40% asked about a discount. But here's the part nobody talks about: most of them bought at full price once someone had a real conversation with them.
They didn't need 10% off. They needed 10 seconds of attention.
The whole "abandoned cart" framing is wrong. These aren't people who decided to leave. They're people who hit a speed bump and had nobody to flag down.
Your customers are literally trying to buy from you. They just need someone to talk to. 😉

$26M later… turns out real humans still convert. 💎
Shoppers are tired of bots. Tired of the same automated “10% off?” text.
And honestly? It’s not a great look for your brand.
When GLD’s SMS flows hit a wall, they brought in real live agents.
No scripts. No spammy nudges. Just actual conversations.
Result? Recovered checkouts. Happier customers. $26M+ in incremental revenue. 🔥
Maybe it’s time checkout felt human again 👇

Vibes were immaculate last night! 🔥📈
Thank you for a great night @attentiveHQ x @Yotpo!!
Album cover coming soon… 😁🤟🏽

Picture this: a customer loads up $200 worth of product. Gets to checkout. Bounces.
Scenario A 👇
A bot slides in. — “Hi! We noticed you left something in your cart. Use code SAVE10 for 10% off!”
Oh and then sends that same text 3 different ways over the next 72 hours. Yawn. They’ve seen it. They’ve ignored it.
Scenario B 👇
A real person texts them. — “Hey Jaclyn! I saw you were looking at the blue mesh training shoes. Excellent choice if I do say so. Quick question… are you between sizes? I can double check the fit for you. 😊”
Now it’s specific. Now it’s helpful. Now it feels like someone is actually paying attention.
Which one converts?
Here’s the uncomfortable truth: most DTC brands automate the experience… and accidentally automated the indifference.
Across thousands of recovery conversations, we’ve seen the pattern:
• 45% of customers respond to SMS recovery
• When a real human handles it, up to 30% of those turn into sales.
Not because SMS is magical. Because REAL people respond to REAL people.
Your customers can tell the difference between a bot pretending to care and a person who actually does.
And your revenue can too. 😉
