On 30 March 1918, Canadians fought one of the most dramatic actions of the Great War at Moreuil Wood. The Canadian Cavalry Brigade charged, dismounted, fought hand-to-hand, and helped check the German advance during a critical phase of the spring offensive. Alongside them, the gunners of the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery also did their part, moving with the battle, covering the front, and providing supporting fire when it mattered most. We remember them all today. Lest we forget.
