Microphone case plowed into his neck after shooting around under his shirt and snapping his necklace. This was after it delivered its payload to his upper right chest; the shaped charge came loose inside the case and send the case and remaining contents bouncing around his upper shirt before going straight into the neck puncturing his jugular vein. Today I stood with the Gowanus Houses community, @BLMGreaterNY, and civil rights advocates to demand justice for my constituent who was violently beaten by two officers. Those officers must be held fully accountable.
I’ve been in touch with the Mayor, Police Commissioner, and the Brooklyn DA’s office. I appreciate the Commissioner’s swift action in removing the officers’ firearms and badges, and the DA’s decision to drop charges against my constituent.
I join the community in calling for a full investigation and prosecution. We must end police violence in NYC.
