The LabXpert implementation project in the Masaka Region aims to digitize 18 laboratories using the LabXpert LIMS platform. This initiative is part of the UCC eBooster grant, supervised by MUBS, and supported by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of ICT.

AI tools are increasingly being deployed across Africa reading chest X-rays, flagging drug-resistant TB, predicting outbreak hotspots. But AI is only as good as the data feeding it. No digital lab data means no AI, Africa needs AI trained on African disease profiles.
