Valve's Steam Machine price could be saved thanks to collapsing RAM prices

Some are celebrating and that's fine ... but imo, World of Warcraft's move away from the "Horde" and "Alliance" faction split will be seen as a historic mistake. Not only does it undermine decades of lore and world building, but player identity is how you reach your audience when they're *not* gaming. WoW's iconic faction split is under threat, and that's a bad thing imo. windowscentral.com/gaming/pc-gami…

Hot take but I kinda like how Blizzard has been mostly unapologetic moving on from the factions since the 4th war and more on specific racial divides. Meanwhile it's kinda cringe seeing some still doing the faction scorekeeping as if there was ever going to be a winner.

I just can’t wrap my head around this take lmao The Horde and Alliance *ARE* Warcraft. It’s not even remotely a coincidence that the torpedoing of the narrative coincided with the game trying to artificially wipe them. Genuinely what connects you to Warcraft if not them?

Art like this really puts into perspective how much of a tragedy the Horus Heresy really was
