Look at it like this: your chances increase getting into heaven if you have faith and good works. It is the norm and the safe bet. Faith alone is an outlier, possible but wouldn’t bet my soul on it . I would say the same about works alone, possible to get to heaven without faith and just works but wouldn’t bet my soul on it. One thing is for certain, God doesn’t force a relationship upon us and he will not force you to live with him in eternity so at some point you do have to accept him as your lord and savior to get into heaven.
