@8675309jrk @CreightonJays7 Freeman cant play defense (yes he gets blocks but he's not good defensively). Ben likely wouldn't take him. Pryce would fit Ben's system perfectly but he ain't leaving.

Reffing was bad all around. Few times when iowa got the benefit of the whistle I even said it wasn't a foul. Illinois probably wins either way. Hawks couldn't keep up their shooting. Alot of that had to do with Illinois much better perimeter defense in 2nd half.

At 6:16 left in the game, Pryce Sandfort made a 3 to take the lead against Iowa. The TBS broadcast showed Matt Rhule in the crowd. After said basket, Nebraska went on a 5 minute and 9 second scoring drought and got outscored 15-6 for the rest of the game.

Iowa fans acting like they won the natty and the only 2 “good” teams they’ve beat this year are Nebraska and Florida (great win, can’t argue that). Kinda reminds me of Tangs first year at K-State: Regular season was decent but nothing special, get hot at the right time, Elite 8

@RayJOrtega @SethDavisHoops Style of play matters. Iowa was settling for 3s the whole game - UF was getting to the rim and getting mauled. I didn’t have a dog in the fight but just hate when it’s clearly not a fair fight. I hope the officials get investigated, something fishy!

My interpretation was that Folgueiras was trying to punch the ball. If he tried to punch Condon he would have connected because he was lying on top of him. It was up to the refs to determine whether he made enough contact with Condon to warrant an ejection, and apparently they did not.

In the postgame presser Florida Coach Todd Golden said the officials told him that Alvaro threw a punch but since it didn’t connect, there wasn’t validation for an ejection. Folgeuiras would go on to hit the game winning shot and be Iowa’s second leading scorer in the game
