@citizentvkenya I think we just need a king and forget about all these. Those elected are also in there to steal and not serve, so what is the point of spending all these

@gich_james @KaberiaCommoner The party leader recently said he wants lawyers to be elected in his region to match the debate capabilities of other regions, remember

Paul Waiganjo, one of Kenya’s most recognizable Kikuyu artists, has broken his silence following a contentious nomination process for the Ol Kalou by-election, alleging he was edged out after refusing to offer financial inducements to party officials.
Waiganjo, who sought the seat under the Democratic Congress Party (DCP), claimed party leaders demanded money in exchange for political backing despite his strong grassroots support. After refusing, he says the nomination was quietly handed to another candidate.
The controversy has angered some Ol Kalou residents and DCP supporters, who feel the process ignored the will of the people and favored those with financial influence.
Political analysts warn that such allegations could damage public trust in party structures, especially among younger voters increasingly opposed to “money politics.” Critics argue the situation exposes the contradiction between parties preaching democracy publicly while allegedly undermining it internally.

Nairobi is about to get AI-powered traffic lights worth over KSh 1.18 BILLION.
According to Business Daily, the system will:
- Analyze traffic in real time
- Sync signals across junctions
- Detect speeding & red-light violations
- Detect boda boda riders without helmets
- Read number plates & even count passengers
A central control centre at City Cabanas will monitor everything.
Sounds futuristic. But here is the uncomfortable question:
Will AI fix Nairobi traffic?
Or are we using technology to cover up bad road planning?
Because many jams in Nairobi are caused by:
- Poor road design
- Roundabouts that became permanent bottlenecks
- Matatus stopping literally everywhere etc
You can install the smartest AI in Africa, but if urban planning remains broken, Nairobians might still spend hours in traffic daily.

@Toneekym @McaTricky We bench mark from the highest office to even that of the MCA, but think about it, these guys are in business
English

@McaTricky what pains me is knowing the elected leaders have stepped foot many times in this countries and see no need to improve their home. They have been used to the idea that abroad looks safe, clean and organized. They don’t see themselves doing the same

@AmbokoJH How about Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, somalia? Ama when it comes to investment its the original East African countries

On the Dangote led Refinery in East Africa:
· Location will be determined following research being undertaken by Dangote. Mombasa, Lamu or Tanga are lead contenders
· Project expected to cost anything between US$16.0 billion & US$20.0 billion
· Kenya's newly set up National Infrastructure Fund will co-invest in the refinery, deployment not disclosed
· The National Infrastructure Fund currently has US$1.0 billion (Kenya Pipeline proceeds). In another two or so months, ~ US$2.0 billion is expected (Safaricom Plc partial divestiture proceeds)
· GOK believes that with ~ US$3.0 billion worth of seed capital, it can build the fund to ~ US$30.0 billion (10:1) crowd in factor
· National Infrastructure Fund to invest 20.0% (~ US$300.0 Million) in the planned new Nairobi Airport

Your excellency @WilliamsRuto please please DO NOT let this opportunity to slip. Roll the red carpet for Al Hajj Aliko Dangote and nail it. @DangoteGroup
AD delivered a refinery in the middle of nowhere in Nigeria . He had to do most of the stuff from scratch even the road to the refinery, loads of backfiling ++++.
Mombasa would be such a breeze for him . Mombasa is ticking all the boxes then add the Dongo Kundu Economic Zone into the mix while our former refinery is well located.
Only one catch , keep out rent seekers .
Dont even think twice. A legacy project on a silver platter.
Africa’s richest man eyes Kenya for new refinery
