Here is the problem. The Iranians we want in power need actual support as far as armaments, humanitarian aid, food, intelligence, and police assistance for an intermediate government. Bombing a bunch of buildings and leaving a power vacuum only means ISIS or ISIL take over to fill that. Making Iran regime change work actually means boots on the ground and transitional support. Without that, it fails. Even with that, the chances are slim. There is a reason nobody has touched this for almost 50 years. Too many people are naive about the logistical challenges. You have to be ALL in and half assing it, as Trump FREQUENTLY does, doesn’t actually fix the situation. It will end up as a military dictatorship lead by a Russian puppet. Hamas and Hezbollah still keep getting money and weapons. That’s what Russia wants because keeping the world destabilized is the only way it remains relevant. I have absolutely zero confidence in this Administration and its incompetent people to get this right.

Your concept is broken. The SEC , by far the toughest conference , is hurt every single year because they play some of the toughest schedules in CFB, while other conferences play cookie teams. The Players are injured with major and minors. Those other teams you speak of , the big 10, are healthy all season because they only play light teams. The SEC is full of elite teams.

You’re Alabama football — act like it. In the CFP era, a marquee loss doesn’t kill you… it can HELP your résumé. Fans pay for Bama vs OSU, not Bama vs “Directional State.” Don't duck the smoke like USC not wanting to play Notre Dame.

He was defining his way to the NFL in some capacity before the injury. But he’s staring off the field now.

Being a great player doesn’t mean you’ll be a great coach. Often times the worse players make the better coaches. I’d love Manti to be a part of the FB program but with no experience in coaching it would be tough to happen in a win now mindset…

@Genetics56 Yes there is. Chatter started during Covid when 3 Domers ruled the future of CFB. If you could sit down today with a B1G AD that used to be your teammate let’s say, a guy who could trust your discussion was off the record, you’d have a different view of this.

The lower revenue schools within the P4 will need to decide what they want to compete in and slim down, if possible. Pitt is an example. There is no word or chatter from anyone that works in the Big Ten or does work for folks in the Big Ten for any P2 breakaway as of today.
