Iran’s Attacks on Jerusalem in the Last 36 Hours 1. Over the last 36 hours, Jerusalem residents have been sent to the bomb shelters due to incoming waves of Iranian missiles 7 times. 2. This heavy bombardment of Jerusalem is new. Until now, Iranian missile attacks have mostly been focused on Tel Aviv, far from the holy sites. 3. Sitting in the bomb shelter, I kept asking my family: Why are they attacking Jerusalem like this? Sooner or later, they are going to hit something important and everyone is going to be really sorry. What are they trying to do? 4. I finally think I understand what they’re trying to do. It’s not pretty. 5. Many commentators have asked why Iran has been lobbing missiles at nearly all of the surrounding Muslim countries for the past two weeks: The Gulf States, Turkey, Iraq, and Azerbaijan included. Don’t they know it will turn the Muslim world against Iran ? 6. We know the answer to that one: The Iranians have contempt for Arabs and Turks, and they believe that a few well placed missiles will send their fellow Muslims into a panicked stampede, calling the Americans and begging them to call off the war. 7. So far that hasn’t worked. But that doesn’t necessarily mean the Iranians are wrong. It still might happen. 8. In the meantime, the U.S. and Israel have begun weighing how to cut off the Iranian regime’s energy supply. No one wants to cause a worldwide energy crisis. But maybe there are ways to cut off the regime’s electricity, which mostly runs on natural gas, for example. 9. The Iranians are scared by this possibility, and they’ve responded by this ferocious series of attacks on Jerusalem. 10. Don’t they know they might hit something important, like the Dome of the Rock or Al Aksa or the Church of the Holy Sepulcher? 11. The answer is: Yeah, they do know that. But Iranians have contempt for Arabs and Turks, and they believe that a few well placed missiles in Jerusalem will send their fellow Muslims into a panicked stampede, calling the Americans and begging them to call off the war. 12. What if they hit the Temple Mount? What if they damage the Dome of the Rick? Wouldn’t that make them look really bad? 13. It doesn’t seem like the Iranians think so. It seems like they think they can always blame that on Israel or America. 14. Maybe they think that will drive the Arabs and the Turks to break with America?

@neontaster I don't know either way, military censors prevent coverage of what damage has actually occurred.

We interview fmr NCTC chief Joe Kent @joekent16jan19 today at noon on Sirius XM Ch. 111 (released later on pod/YT). Was there an imminent threat? Why did he quit so publicly? Did he leak classified/other docs? Have JD Vance & Tulsi changed their foreign policy stance? And more!

Once a civilian building is abandoned—it is no longer being used for military action, and there is no intent (purpose) to use it again—it is no longer a military objective. Strikes like these are best understood as punitive acts, like home demolitions in the West Bank.

Four Palestinian women were killed by an Iranian missile in Hebron. Two points must be emphasized: A) Iranian missiles are fired indiscriminately at civilians in both Palestine and the Gulf. B) Apartheid Israel provides shelters and protection exclusively for Jewish Israelis.
