@Pro__Trading @MattWalshBlog A 30 year old kid at the gym asked me how I felt about the war. I said I've been waiting 47 years for pay back on those sons of bitches and we sure as hell don't need another North Korea in the mid-east. Your "conservatives" are more worried about their 401Ks taking a hit. F'em

@MattWalshBlog Sure because war is ugly. Nobody "wants" war. So being enthusiastic about it seems like a foolish measuring stick. However, the vast majority of Trump's supporters recognize that this needed to be done and Trump is finally doing something we should've done four decades ago.

I’ve never seen such a disconnect between the commentary on this site and what I hear in the real world. I’ve talked to dozens of normal conservatives in real life about the Iran War and I haven’t met a single one who’s actually enthusiastically in favor of it. At best they’re warily optimistic. In most cases they’re opposed. In some cases they’re not only opposed but deeply furious. And yet here if you utter a word of criticism about the war you’ll be shouted down by throngs of alleged American conservatives who allegedly have wanted nothing more than for America to go to war with Iran. It just doesn’t reflect what I see on the ground. That’s not just cope because my position is unpopular with “my side.” I’ve held plenty of unpopular positions. I really don’t care. But in this case the social media vs real world divide is stark and unlike anything I’ve seen before.

I share about 100 yards of drive way with my ~70yr old neighbors. For some reason he’s obsessed with knocking down the center grass in the middle of the tire ruts and covering it with gravel. He talks about it all the time, probably 30% of all conversations I have with him are about this. He’s asking if I want to pitch in for more gravel, etc. When I put my parents in a guest house behind the barn, my dad started talking about it too. He got some roundup and sprayed his section of road. Am I missing something here? I see no problem with it. It looks fine. It occupies 0% of my mind. I’m prepared to spend 0 dollars to remedy this “problem” What is happening?

🚨 Official count confirmed: More than 8 million people participated in No Kings Day today. One of the largest single-day demonstrations in American history. 3,000 cities. Every state. Every coast. Philadelphia. Atlanta. Dallas. St. Paul. DC. San Francisco. San Diego. New York. London. Tel Aviv. Scotland. And counting. To put 8 million in context: The Women’s March in 2017 — the previous record — drew an estimated 3-5 million. Today more than doubled it. 8 million Americans didn’t just protest today. They sent a message that cannot be ignored, cannot be dismissed, and cannot be spun. The founders settled the kings question in 1776. 8 million Americans settled it again today.

I’ve been in Congress through divided governments, bitter fights, and historic crises. I’ve never seen anything like the last 24 hours. Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson killed Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s bipartisan deal to fund the TSA, Coast Guard, and FEMA.  It was a deal that had the support of Senate Republicans and Democrats alike, 100-0! Why? Because Johnson places his own political survival and fealty to Trump over all else, including long waits at airports or anything else. We could have passed it in the House easily if only Johnson had allowed the vote to proceed. But instead he blew up the whole thing. Where this goes next is anyone’s guess, but what’s very clear is that Johnson is the worst and most subservient speaker in modern American history.

Question: Are you old enough to remember the period 1980 to 2002 with regard to Iraq and the Saddam Hussein regime? Do you think the world is better off today without an Iraq led by Saddam Hussein or his two sons that he had positioned to succeed him? Do you remember the military government of Hafez Al-Assad in Syria from 1971 to 2000, a Soviet backed regime? Can you distinguish between Hafez and Bashar Al-Assad times in office in Syria? If not -- if your really lack an understanding of how much better the Middle East is today as a result of U.S. intervention starting with the First Gulf War after Hussein invaded and took over Kuwait, then you're simply too ignorant and uninformed to comment on the geopolitics of the region.
Rich Baris THE PEOPLE'S PUNDIT@Peoples_Pundit

Oh my God they replaced "Iraq" with "Iran" and recycled all the 20-year-old defunct "Al-Qaeda/911" talking points. Just making it worse. It would just be better to admit you got dog walked by Israel and pledge not to let it happen again. Sister Soldier, for the love of God!

Residents that had their homes burn down by the Eaton Fire during the Pacific Palisades fires are now receiving water bills from the city One resident hasn’t been there in a year, the property is so burned the meter doesn’t even exist anymore, but they’re getting bills “This is ridiculous. How can they charge us for something that we don't have? We haven't used water in over a year — this is something that is outrageous” “So you don't even have a meter still on this property?” “No, there's nothing. It was, it was right here on the side of the house” Yet they’re being sent bills…..

@Camels4Climate Thats the spot rioters had the CHP pinned down with rocks thrown from above. LAPD let this go on for at least an hour until gently shepparding the crowd away. Multiple CHP vehicles damaged; few if any arrests. This is peak surrender.

@shipwreckedcrew What they got is validation they can pull this crap and suffer no consequences. What they got is proof Republicans will cave when they don't have to. Masks and warrants are insignificant in this context.

Did the Senate Dems get a judicial warrant requirement? Did the Senate Dems get a policy change regarding the removal of masks? Did the Senate Dems get a policy change making certain "sensitive locations" off-limits for immigration enforcement? Save me the "Dems got everything they wanted from the shutdown" nonsense.

@ChAsEdxPaPeR @SteveOnSpeed Circumstances change for people. That judgment can hang around for 20 years and eveually they may need or want to clear it up. Sometimes it's the person's estate that ends up paying. It's kind of a routine occurrence. Or sell it to a debt buyer.

@PhilSustainable Prop 13 was a firewall against a corrupt legislature being able to pencil in a property tax increase for every grafted they could dream up. Sadly it's being eroded by prop 19 and "special assessments"

Prop 13 is the California family trust fund of state policy. Granny buys a LA beach shack in 1980 for $80k, it’s now worth $4M. She passes it to her grandkid, who pays taxes on $80k. Meanwhile the transplant renting the converted garage pays $50k/year in rent

From my experience running a small fleet of about a dozen trucks, being a member of NASTC has been a big advantage. They’ve partnered with Orange Commercial Credit, which gives me significantly reduced factoring fees. Factoring allows me to get paid faster, run unlimited credit checks on freight brokers, and have support going after bad actors who don’t pay whether that’s filing on bonds or staying on top of collections. It helps keep my accounts receivable at 30 days or less… Without factoring, I would definitely need to hire at least one additional person in the office just to manage accounts receivable and keep everything current. Even though the market is good, I do it for other reasons, I’m happy to pay the factoring fee.
