🏆Hey student-athletes….Success doesn’t happen by mistake! ☑️Show up daily. ☑️Be coachable. ☑️Be willing to change your mindset. ☑️Eat well & stay hydrated with proper nutrition. ☑️Train smart & follow your strength coach’s instructions. ☑️Put the phone down and get the proper sleep you need. ☑️No those “friends” who pressure you to skip workouts, stay up late, drink on the weekends, and get you into trouble aren’t your friends. ☑️You won’t be an athlete forever put your academics FIRST!! ☑️Be a role model to the youth and remember you’re blessed to compete. Not everyone gets that opportunity or privilege.

SUNDAY‼️Go to church. Move your body. Stretch and foam roll. Drink water. Pray. Eat your protein. Eat a fruit and veggie with each meal. Be grateful. Read something new. Help someone. Clean up your home. Prep healthy meals. Spend time with family. Go walk in nature. Not everyone woke up today. Don’t waste the day.

HE DID IT 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Conner Mantz makes HISTORY in Chicago with a 2:04:43 fourth-place finish, the fastest time ever run by an American. Mantz breaks Khalid Khannouchi’s 23-year-old American record of 2:05:48, as well as the all-conditions best of 2:04:58 set by Ryan Hall in 2011.

Sydney is fearless when it comes to a challenge 😤 Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone could’ve taken the easy route to another 400m hurdles gold, but instead she chose to chase a title in a new event with two established superstars. And the results were historic. 🎥 FULL INTERVIEW: youtu.be/JjMXo9XFI0w?si…

Fueling your body and committing to greatness is HARD. You'll: - sacrifice - lose friends - go to bed early - wake up before others - be grossly misunderstood - spend money on meal prep - struggle with the process - feel less connected to others - miss out on social time - lose time with friends But... Not eating RIGHT, skimping on sleep , and neglecting your body will lead to: - Low energy - Muscle loss - Missed opportunities - Regret of not investing in yourself when you had the time - Poor performance & quicker fatigue - Increased risk for injury & illness All of it is HARD. So choose your hard that brings you closer to the life you want!

If you're cutting corners during drills, training, or practice don't be surprised when you are cut from the team. There's a lot of hard working athletes out there that may not be as talented as some but they will eventually outpace those who cut corners. Talent fails where hard work prevails. Champions don't cut corners. Champions cultivate greatness by giving 100% day in and day out in all that they do.

So you're a new track and field fan because of the Paris Olympics and want to keep up with the sport? Welcome! There's lots to be excited about! Here are a few quick tips on how to stay and keep up with the sport post-Games... 1. Follow @CITIUSMAG 🧑‍💻 Shameless plug. Our mission actually is: Make it easier (and way more fun) to be a track fan. We're constantly hitting you with news, analysis, commentary and more on the latest in the sport + who/when/where to watch the top stars in action throughout the year. We do it via our social media channels, newsletters, podcasts, YouTube videos + more. 2. Follow your new favorite athletes 📲 Whether it's @itsgabbyt, Julien Alfred, @cole_hocker, Letsile Tebogo, @QuincyHall400, Faith Kipyegon, or Yaroslava Mahuchikh, their Instagram pages tend to be the best place to learn where they're competing next, how training is going and how else to support them. 3. Where will the athletes compete next? 🏃 Many athletes will run in some of the Diamond League meets scheduled over the next month. For example, we'll see Cole Hocker vs. Jakob Ingebrigtsen in Lausanne next week over 1500m again. In addition to Olympic rematches, expect some time trials to capitalize upon their peak fitness to break world records. Upcoming meets: Lausanne 🇨🇭 (Aug. 22); Silesia 🇵🇱 (Aug. 25th); Rome 🇮🇹 (Aug. 30th); Zurich 🇨🇭 (Sept. 5); Brussels 🇧🇪 (Sept. 13-14) If you hold onto that Peacock subscription, you can watch these meets on there through the rest of this year. 4. Mark your calendars 🗓️be joining There are plenty of track championships ahead. 2025 will feature the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing (March 21-23) 🇨🇳 & the World Championships in Tokyo 🇯🇵 (Sept. 13-21). 2026 debuts the World Ultimate Championships in Budapest 🇭🇺 (Sept. 11-13). The 2027 World Championships will be in Beijing 🇨🇳 (Dates TBD). 🔜 Next year, some of the top stars will join @GrandSlamTrack – a professional league by @MJGold aimed at having the best track athletes compete against one another at least four times per year. 2025 will be its inaugural season. The league will have 96 athletes competing in the short sprints (100m/200m), short hurdles (100h or 110h/100m), long sprints (200m/400m), long hurdles (400mh), short distance (800m/1500m) and long distance (3000m/5000m) categories. The winner of each category will be awarded $100,000 at each Slam. Broadcast details have yet to be announced. Two meets will be held in the U.S. and two will be international. Reddit co-founder @alexisohanian will be hosting a new women-only track event called @athlos NYC on Sept. 26 in New York City. 36 athletes, including Gabby Thomas and Faith Kipyegon, have committed to the event for a chance to earn $60,000 for the win in the 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1500m. Megan Thee Stallion is set to perform at the meet. 5. 📺 Go back and watch old races There are tons of races on YouTube including on the NBC Sports YouTube channel. Educate yourself on some of the backstories of the athletes with documentaries like SPRINT from @BoxToBoxFilms. Some athletes do a fantastic job sharing their respective behind-the-scenes on their own channels like @LylesNoah, @tar___ruh, @RCrouserThrows, @mrgnmcdnld, @JakeSWightman, etc. 6. 🗣️ TELL YOUR FRIENDS. This really is the best sport out there and we all want to share in that excitement with many more people. (If you're a track and field fan getting peppered with questions on how to stay hooked on the sport after the Olympics, feel free to share this advice!) #Paris2024 #Olympics #Athletics

Team USA rewrote the history books at the 2024 Olympics 🇺🇸 📈 Some of the team’s stats… - Team USA won as many medals as the next four nations combined. - Team USA won 24% of the total track and field medals on offer. - Track and field athletes won 34 of Team USA’s 125 total medals. - Team USA swept all four hurdle events for the first time in history. A legendary Olympic Games for American track and field athletes! 👏
