I bought my first bitcoin back in 2013. Witnessed many phases of the crypto space. I was always one to call out scams, larpers, or argue things that I thought were worth calling out. The peptide space gave me some similar vibes and though this account is relatively new, my affinity towards peptides, small molecules, and biohacking in general is not. I thought I’d take a similar stance. I did not like when reptides quietly transitioned from a RUO vendor to a peptide wiki then taking what to me were moral high ground stances. I may have made it personal a time or two and I regret that. My last thread I let my emotions get to me. Rough personal life stuff and doom scrolling and that’s what came out of it. I had been thinking about a recent stringent affiliate partnership process that I was genuinely impressed with. Had to sign a 7 page contract among other things. Maybe not to that extent but I thought that was needed more across both ends of affiliate partnerships. It just so happened that two vendors I had reached out to with affiliate inquiries were some I saw pop up in non disclosed promotional posts. I could have chosen a different path to convey what I wanted. I am going to try to be more positive in general though I do think too many convey criticism as hate. I might delete the thread that started this because unlike some think, I dont care about the clout. The perceived damage has been done either way.

@Joel_right_now @rorynotsorry @PeptidePlugs so calling something out publicly without insult or baseless facts = taking shots at someone? seems like a reach to me but I'll say it again — it was not my intent for it to be interpreted like that and I'm sorry

@PeptideBench @rorynotsorry @PeptidePlugs Taking shots at someone and then complaining that they don't give you an affiliate agreement would seem akin to making negative comments about a company you're applying for a job with and then being upset when you don't get the job. Popular opinion seems to agree.

Way too much peptide content on this app is just affiliate marketing with no real disclosure. If you’re posting vendor praise + a coupon/referral code and you get paid when people use it, say that clearly. “Use my code” is not the same as “I earn a commission if you use it.”

@fitcapbiohacker @PeptideBench Looks like it’s attempting to create an issue…where there isn’t one…to support its purpose for being in the X peptide space

@PeptideBench cleanest take on this i've seen. simple test: if pulling the affiliate code would change whether you'd recommend it, it was never a review. it's why aggregate data from people with nothing to sell beats any "use my code" post every time.

So just to recap: Your account was created 90 days ago. You have sub-100 followers. A quick scan of your timeline, and I see trash talking post regarding @fitcapbiohacker @ogsvg @rorynotsorry and @tonymission Admitted to messing up your own proprietary ranking system and having to fix it. I’m not sure what your end game is here, but if it’s trying to build trust within the small peptide community on X, I can assure you this is not a great start.

I did at first but honestly your spammy feed is just so annoying to me I didn’t want to interact and see you even more in my for you feed. I figured someone would tag you and you’d see it anyway which it did so who cares? I would have blocked you if I wasn’t “man” enough to "confront" you on X.com that's a wild thing to say from someone who labels themself a former high school athlete LMAO. Why would i be offended? My main points are facts. What you think doesn’t matter. “people can probably infer it” is not the standard. Clear disclosure is. A general “I’ve mentioned my affiliations before” is also not a blanket disclosure for every later promo post. Literally the only thing that's reasonable to have a problem with is me not tagging you and im fine with that.

Why post pictures of my posts without tagging me. Seems like a bit of calling the kettle black. And no offense but I think people understand the fact that when someone is shilling a discount code to a company they are are being compensated kinda goes without saying. Plus I have been very open about my affiliations with each company I am a part of in that sense. If you have a problem with something im doing next time face it like a man instead of taking snapshots of my posts. I have no problem talking to anyone about how I do things and if you @ me you would know that already.

Totally fair, and I appreciate the response. No need to apologize. You’ve clearly built a strong reputation and support base, and I get being selective about who you work with. On my side, I was frustrated by the broader pattern of affiliate spam / weak disclosure in this space, and that saltiness bled into that reply more than it should have. That part is on me. I was planning on adding crushx10 into the pricing soon as a fallback either way and I'm content with that. Appreciate the explanation and the thoughtful reply.

Hi... first of all. I apologize for not getting back to you, but honestly I've been on vacation. So I want to be transparent on where I am going on affiliates and relative websites. First of all you mention @fitcapbiothacker in the thread who is an affiliate... but he is also a customer and had been following me and advocating for me for several months first. He has also been producing. I only recently agreed to have affiliates, because quite simply I have a fairly large social media reach myself. I was able to (and probably still can) sell myself out with my X account, substack account and tiktok page alone. The simple fact is that an affiliate model adds cost to the consumer, which is something I have problems with. At some point, the affiliates also start to compete with each other if they are all congregated on the same platform. I've know Ben from @peptiprices and the guys from @PeptideCritic for quite sometime (since before I was a vendor)... they both have targeted advertising on other sites besides X which helps bring in new customers. Others such as @kalospepgod took the time to build relationships with me before we entered into a partnership. As far as peptide benchmark, I simply haven't had the time to investigate to be able to make an educated decision. What sort of criteria do you use? (for example if you are ranking single vial half ass testers on the same level as those who do extensive testing... then I would probably pass), etc... Simply put, while this is a business for me that I full intend on running well, I have several strong opinions on what is important... testing and pricing. If a site doesn't align with those values, then I am generally not interested. However, it was rude of me not to reply to you to at least politely say, give me some time to review the request. For this I apologize. I will message after posting this. I just thought this was an opportunity to express my general views.

To add to the annoyance of seeing these posts, I have open affiliate inquiries with Crush (@rorynotsorry) & @PeptidePlugs but I've totally been ghosted...just sucks as someone who takes this seriously and provides other value to the space

The PeptidePlugs score issue was real, and I already found the problem. My trust pipeline for PeptidePlugs was broken, and I should have caught it sooner. That’s on me, and I fixed it. But no, that does not change the substance of what I said here. FTC style disclosure of financial relationships is not the same thing as FDA approval, doctor signoff, or broader regulation of the peptide space. Those are completely different issues. And reaching out about an affiliate relationship was not some secret endorsement of a score I thought was accurate at the time. My goal was to provide discount access for vendors that show up frequently in the pricing tool for readers, while keeping disclosure explicit.

If the current output is off? It's way off and the fact I need to point that out speaks to the list. The main point is that you're talking out of two sides of your mouth. You want everything on the up and up in the RUO space (which side are you on btw... should we get the FDA & doctors to sign off next?) and then you're willing to endorse a site that you think is garbage in exchange to be paid for it while you have highly-rated chinese resellers who are shipping 0-peptide and wrong-peptide products rated 3x higher than us. Why would you want to be our affiliate if you don't highly rate what we're doing? There are hundreds of companies you should have reached out to before us according to your rankings. Truthfully, I don't even remember seeing your inquiry so it wasn't intentional, but it looks like things worked out on their own. I would first worry about adding the value you say you're adding by getting rid of all the garbage vendors, being honest with the public about them and helping your readers find the ones who are doing the actual most.

Fair criticism on the score if the current output is off, I’m reviewing that. I recently changed parts of the scoring system, and I’m not interested in defending inaccurate results. But that doesn’t really change the main point here: this space needs better affiliate disclosure and tighter standards around promotional claims. That applies broadly, not just to one vendor.

@PeptideBench @rorynotsorry Why would you want to be an affiliate with a 2.8/10 rated vendor? I'm sorry but the number of **actual scammers** you have rated higher than us and just a complete lack of accuracy makes no sense at all. I wasn't even going to entertain this tbh.

One reason I take this seriously is that I’ve now gone through the affiliate signup process on the other side too. With a recent partnership, it wasn’t just a form checkbox. I had to sign an actual agreement, complete Gusto onboarding, and fill out a W-9 for payouts. And that agreement explicitly talks about things like: - false or unsubstantiated medical claims - failure to disclose affiliate relationships - misleading promo language So this isn’t just “internet drama” or personal preference. I suggest more brands to put these standards in writing, even if a lot of affiliate posting in this space still acts like none of it matters. ✌️
